Sometimes, a giving spirit is enough to grant us hope in dark times. It restores my faith in humanity when I see it and keeps dangerous cynicism at bay. Some workers in California thought they were going to have just another workday under their belts. However, a man who is constantly giving to others decided he was going to give these men the time of their lives.

TikTok user Juixxe—his name is Jesús—shared a video of him approaching some men sitting outside and talking on the bumper of a Home Depot truck. Jesús tells the men he’ll pay them $250 per day to clean a park. They seem pleased by the deal. When the men start to load up, they ask if they can bring some more workers with them, and a total of five men get together to help. He asks the men, “None of you guys have high blood pressure, right?” and they confirm they don’t. It immediately cuts to them riding numerous roller coasters!

As the men get on various rides at Knott’s Berry Farm, you can see the excitement plastered on their faces. It turns out he just wanted to give them a day of fun and relaxation they probably don’t get often. After their day of fun, Jesús confirms he paid all of the men $100 upfront for the “park cleaning.” He then exclaims, “We’re going to pay you guys $500 each!” You can tell they’re so grateful for the fun they had.

After further digging, it turns out Jesús does this pretty frequently, giving gifts to people (usually money). He then takes them on fun adventures, even cooking for them. It’s a rare bit of kindness you don’t see often and actually seems more genuine than, say, Mr. Beast.

Viewers seemed to think so, too. “Their smiles are so golden,” one commenter said. “They may not have had high blood pressure when you picked them up but I’m sure they did on those rides! Thank you for taking care of them,” another said. The fact that people like Jesús have such big, kind hearts says a lot about how caring people can truly be. This is what we need more of!
