The digital world is full of headlines that contradict one another. In recent days, news of President Trump’s demise has been trending all over the place. However, with few facts to substantiate claims, it’s all hearsay. One journalist, Aaron Parnas of Boca Raton, Florida, refused to add fuel to the ongoing internet fire. In a viral video with over 110,000 views, he shared the truth with viewers. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the truth that many of them were ready to hear.

Parnas starts off the video by calling his report “breaking news. “A photograph of Donald Trump has been taken this morning per the White House pool,” he says. “Here’s what we know, according to Barack Rabid, who is a senior Axios reporter. The White House pool report has issued the following statement: The pool photograph snaps picture of POTUS in white polo shirt and red MAGA hat with black pants.”

Parnas goes on to share that the POTUS motorcade began moving at 8:45 AM. After confirming the time matchup, he goes on to explain that he refuses to report on anything that’s not entirely true and accurate. “Obviously, the president of the United States has health concerns, that’s not disputed,” he admits. “But as a reporter, it’s not my job to speculate. That’s your job.”

As a well-respected digital journalist and lawyer, followers of Parnas stood by his reporting. “You look so sad, Aaron, we all are,” comments one viewer. “Never saw Aaron so demoralized and disappointed when giving news updates,” says another. Some cracked jokes to lighten the mood, saying, “It was a good rehearsal though, guys. Everyone review your own performance on Twitter, get your memes ready, start writing those captions for the real thing.” One user added some positive encouragement, saying, “We’ve got so many good memes on deck now.”
