The backlash continues, with many saying the two have no shame in trying to use their PR to get outlets to mention their names. To be fair, though, people hate the Sussexes so much that PR action is probably not even needed. Harry and Meghan’s relevance thrives on hate and ragebaiting, and whether or not they wish for the opposite doesn’t matter too much at this point, since the hate train is already running at full speed. Katharine was, of course, involved with many more charitable projects over her lifetime, including charities in the UK and overseas.
Whether intentionally or not, Harry and Meghan will get attention, even for the death of a beloved Royal Family member. We can only hope that people focus more on the Duchess of Kent’s celebrated life than the Sussexes.
