Destiny 2 Will Finally Fix the Long Grind of The Edge of Fate

Better times are coming

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate brought a few changes that many Guardians welcomed, but a few that didn’t sit well with the most dedicated players who have been around this game for years. One of those is the grind, which has become one of the most tedious aspects of Destiny 2 in recent memory. However, Bungie has finally addressed this alongside other issues that are holding the game back, and promises to fix some of them once Renegades launches later this year.

Many New QoL Changes Coming to Destiny 2: Renegades

Destiny 2: Renegades Reveal + Ash & Iron Developer Livestream

In case you missed it, Destiny 2 had a livestream today, showcasing the latest Ash & Iron update, as well as many of the features coming to Destiny: Renegades. However, the developers also talked about many of the QoL changes coming to Destiny 2, including how grinding will work, endgame rewards, weapon tiers, and more.

While there are a lot of things we could delve into, the most important thing is that the studio has finally addressed how grindy the game has become, especially in the last expansion. Fortunately, it seems that once Renegades arrives on Destiny 2, the grind for the max power level will be much easier.

For starters, the power climb won’t take that long. We all know how long it took us to reach the max power level in The Edge of Fate, and it seems the next expansion won’t be as tedious as this one, which is already a massive win for all players, especially those veteran ones who always want to hit the highest cap.

Furthermore, the developers also addressed the feedback regarding endgame rewards. As you may know, some of the endgame activities still reward Tier 1 equipment, which isn’t the best in the game. So, for the next expansion, there will be adjustments when it comes to loot drops to make them feel much more rewarding for everyone. On top of that, Renegades will make all Exotic armor and weapons fall into the featured gear category, and will also give players more vault space, so hoarders can definitely rejoice now.

While The Edge of Fate had a rocky launch, the Ash & Iron update and the road to Renegades are looking promising, and it is showing us that Bungie is listening to all the feedback out there. We’ll still have to wait a bit to see all the changes in practice, but it is nice to see the acknowledgement that will surely bring many Guardians back to the fight.
