Since Charlie Kirk’s death, people have been divided about the way they react to the news. While some celebrated his death due to the controversies surrounding him, others were left sad about it. There were some overreactions, though, including that of a dramatic Utah man. He filmed himself having some kind of breakdown on the street due to Kirk’s death. In the video, he is basically yelling at the camera saying, “This is such bullshit. I never have been so pissed in my life.” Honestly, some of his words aren’t exactly clear due to the emotions he is showing. You can see how affected he is, especially since his face is basically red. I never thought someone’s face could reach this shade of red. “They just murdered Charlie Kirk,” he yells. The use of “they” made a lot of people convinced that he was blaming the left.
As the video continues, the Utah man doesn’t calm down at all. He mentions how he saw the bullet going out of his neck and then says, “I love this guy.” His next sentence, though, was him saying that Kirk was going to be “our next president.” Whose president exactly? I’m not sure a lot of people would agree with this sentence. What made it look like he was acting was his attempt at sobbing, which honestly looked kind of fake. Even if he was truly affected by Kirk’s death, you would think that he would mourn him off-camera. Instead, he films himself yelling with a red face and repeating how pissed he is. He could have attended a vigil or something. A moment of silence would have been better.
People Reacting to the Utah Man’s Breakdown
Let’s just say that not everyone believed that the Utah man’s video was genuine. A lot of people found it weird that the guy would be reacting like this. His reaction made OP write, “There is no way in hell he’s reacting like this about a guy he doesn’t even know.” One person also believed that the Kirk supporter was basically acting as they said, “Dude needs to go back to acting class, he’s overselling.” Since the man made sure to walk toward an American flag and make it his background, another person wondered if this was done on purpose. “I wonder if the first take he realized the flag was nearby and reshot the whole thing,” they wrote. This could be possible, which made someone else say, “Oh yea. That’s too convenient.”
Others found it weird that the Utah man believed that Kirk was going to be the next president. One person found it possible, though, as they said, “These morons voted Trump into office twice. Anything is possible now.” Another person mentioned the school shooting that happened on the same day. “I guess no one really cares about the school shooting yesterday, media is only focused on CK,” they wrote. This made someone else reply and talk about the guy’s choice of words. “The ‘liberals’ didn’t do that so it is ok to them, I guess. Notice how he said ‘they just murdered Charlie Kirk.’ One crazy person shot him and they blame liberals as a whole?” they questioned. One Redditor once again mentioned the school shooting as they penned, “3 kids died yesterday is he gonna do a video for those.” The kids definitely didn’t get the same coverage, which makes this situation even more heartbreaking. They deserve to be mourned as well.
