You have to wonder why a lot of restaurants keep hiring racist people. A video of an encounter in Michigan showed how some disgusting restaurant staff were being racist toward two Black customers. Apparently, the customers’ order was burnt and when they went to confront them, a disagreement started. You can see a woman from the staff standing at the cashier and filming the customers with an obnoxious smile on her face. She was definitely being racist as she called them “fried,” “burnt,” and “broke.” No one should be treated like this. When a woman in the background asked the customers sarcastically, “You need someone to pay your bill?” the staff member laughed. Another server then gave the customers the middle-finger. Of course, the customers were upset by how the staff were being racist toward them.
In another video, the Michigan restaurant staff keep their racism going. The same woman at the cashier told the customers, “You are fried in the brain.” So it was valid that one of the customers said, “You got a real f**ked up attitude.” You would think that the staff would stop their disgusting behavior at some point but they don’t. One of the men working in the restaurant told the two women, “We treat the customers well.” Yeah, it doesn’t look like that at all. I have to applaud the customers’ patience because the server kept smiling and laughing at them which is enough to drive anyone insane. Thankfully, the restaurant faced some consequences for this racist behavior. People who saw the video made sure to drop a Yelp review criticizing the staff for what they did.
People Reacting to the Racist Michigan Restaurant
A lot of people were left upset by how racist the staff at the Michigan restaurant were. Anyone could see that calling a Black person “burnt” and “fried” is a form of racism. Since the customers didn’t escalate the situation, one woman wrote that she would have reacted differently. “Wait what ? I would be in JAIL,” she wrote. Another woman pointed out how ironic it is that the server would call them broke when she is working at a restaurant. “Not them saying you look broke, meanwhile she’s a cashier at Charlie’s in a turtleneck sweater .. a TURTLENECK sweater …………….,” she said. Well, they have got a point. One person also said, “Ppl working at a restaurant getting minimum wage acting like this.” A Black woman then added that the two customers should have left once they saw that the staff was made up of White people. “As soon as I walked in and seen all white… nah….. I’m aight‼‼!” she wrote.
People also made sure to leave negative reviews for the Michigan restaurant on Google. “Leave a google review everyone,” one person wrote. It turns out that the restaurant kept deleting reviews which made people head to Yelp instead. “They are deleting their reviews but if y’all go on YELP they CAN’t delete them. Go on Yelp y’all,” one woman wrote. Well, people definitely took her advice. Another woman believed that the customers should have treated the staff the same way, as she said, “Yall wasn’t cussing her out good enough for me.” It’s not worth it, honestly, since they were acting childish. An adult sneaking up and trying to give the middle-finger without being noticed is embarrassing enough. Hopefully, those involved will be fired for their awful behavior.
