After receiving permission from the British government and his father, King Charles, Harry made his way to Ukraine, likely to promote his patronage in the Invictus Games. The timing is quite telling, seeing how word has gotten out that members of the foundation are looking to kick the Prince out of his own charity. However, it seems Harry didn’t tell Charles the whole story of his plans prior to leaving the UK.
According to journalist Neil Sean, not only did Prince Harry “betray” King Charles by immediately talking to the press about his time in Ukraine, but he also did it under the scheme of getting a “meeting with President Zelensky.” Charles and Harry were allegedly under an agreement that he wouldn’t immediately spill the beans after leaving Clarence House, but as we all know, the Duke of Sussex is not very good at keeping secrets. Now, as for his desire to meet Zelensky, it wasn’t just about hyping the public up for the Invictus Games. Instead, Neil Sean and other critics believe Harry was trying to get a photo with the leader of Ukraine.

A photo doesn’t hold much significance at first thought. However, when you recall how the late Queen Elizabeth refused a picture with Harry and Meghan’s children, you’ll know how important photos with certain political figures are to the Sussexes. And with President Donald Trump scheduled to meet Prince William and Kate Middleton in the UK, Harry knew that he, too, had to get a photo with a president as well. If Charles actually knew this about Harry’s plan with his trip to Ukraine, it’s no wonder he was scolding his son after leaving their private meetup.
One commenter on Reddit remarked how, even though King Charles faced a lot of backlash for giving Prince Harry an audience after all that’s happened, even the King couldn’t have known his son was still a “snake.” Despite all the reconciliation talk that pro-Henry media pushed out, it appears that, in the end, Harry is still just out to reclaim his piece of the ‘royal pie’ that he pushed away years ago. “Charles should have known better,” says one Redditor. Another chimes in, saying, “The fact that Hazmat has built a PR campaign around seeing his father, tells you all you need to know.
