Firefighters have a hard job that has a lot of requirements. One of these is probably being ready to face heights. Well, one Texas firefighter isn’t exactly a fan of this part of training. He quickly became a TikTok favorite as his fire department started posting videos of him training to overcome his fear of heights. You have to applaud the dedication, though, since he still wants to become a firefighter despite his fear. Instead of encouraging him, people couldn’t help but laugh at his reactions during training. In one video, you could see him tied to several ropes as the rest of the team tried to lower him to the ground. Let’s just say that he is definitely not a fan of heights. He started yelling “Woooo” whenever they moved him an inch. He was so afraid that he even started singing by the end of the video.
In another video of the Texas firefighter’s rope rescue training, he is still terrified. This time, he was still hanging from ropes but it was vertically rather than horizontally. He kept yelling and saying “I trust y’all.” The other firefighters couldn’t help but laugh. His day only got worse as he started saying, “I’m pooping on the basket. I’m having a bowel movement.” I honestly don’t envy him. Throughout the video, he kept yelling and begging his friends to make the basket even while they lowered him. With these reactions of his, It might be better to think of another job that doesn’t involve heights or would make him scream and poop while on duty. Let’s just pray that he overcomes his fear before he actually starts going to missions.
People Reacting to the Screaming Texas Firefighter
The internet absolutely loved the screaming Texas firefighter. They did believe, however, that he might need another job. One person hoped that the guy wouldn’t be near any burning building, as they said, “Please leave him in the office.” This may be better for everyone. Another person asked the fire department not to send this specific firefighter to save them if they needed help. “Please don’t send him to rescue me,” they said. Due to all the screaming and hollering he was doing, one woman wrote, “Might as well tie him to the front he’ll be the siren.” Someone else had the same opinion as they said, “He wants to be the truck SO BAD ‘WOOOOO!’” Another person wrote, “Just hootin and hollering.” He did sound better and louder than sirens.
The comments making fun of the Texas firefighter didn’t stop as one woman wrote, “He’s still screaming? It’s been 2 days.” His vocal cords are definitely impressive. Another woman said, “Every video I see of this man he’s in a different position screaming.” One person also believed that the firefighter should be assigned something different as they suggested, “Maybe we just let him drive the truck??” At least there were a few people who were proud of him for even trying to face his fears. The height he was at did look scary. “You know what? Being terrified and doing it anyway is real courage. I bet he ends up being the best FF,” one person wrote. He might end up surprising us all. Till that happens, his training videos will remain a favorite on the internet.
