False police reports should be taken seriously, especially when they seem targeted. A biased Minnesota cop, though, didn’t do his job properly after a Karen teacher wrongly accused a Black parent of hitting her car. In a video filmed by the parent, you could hear the teacher telling him that if he opened his car door, it would hit her car. She claimed that she saw him out of her window whipping his door shut and hitting her car. All of this was happening while she had an officer next to her. Well, she was definitely lying. All the parent had to do was open his car door and show the teacher and the officer that there was a decent distance between the two cars. There was no way that he could have hit her car as she claimed.
Instead of facing consequences for her false allegations, the officer told the Minnesota parent that he would let her go since the situation was resolved. Of course, the victim isn’t happy with this, especially since the officer came ready to take a statement and support the woman. He didn’t even open the car door himself to see if she was telling the truth or not; the parent had to do that himself. While the man kept saying, “This is ridiculous,” the officer allowed the teacher to go home. The cop even had the audacity to tell the man that he was being ridiculous. So it is ridiculous to prove that you were falsely accused? The officer then claimed that he was planning to check the car door. Well, why didn’t he do it?
The parent kept arguing with the cop and made it clear that he is planning to file a lawsuit because of what just happened. “You was about to make her do a full false police report. Can you charge her for doing a false police report?” the parent asked. Unfortunately, the officer said that he wasn’t going to charge her. In another video, the officer said that he was done talking. When the parent told him that he works for him, the Minnesota cop said that he doesn’t. If he was ready to believe the teacher, why wasn’t he willing to make her face the consequences of her allegations? After all, she insisted that the man hit her door.
People Reacting to the Biased Minnesota Cop
People weren’t happy with how the Minnesota cop treated the Black parent. Some comments believed that the officer was racist as one person said, “The racism is so not even hidden anymore.” Another person asked the victim to file a complaint. “What’s his badge number? File a complaint,” they wrote. Many also believed that he should have held the teacher accountable. This is why someone said in disbelief, “‘Let’s let her go home’ after she falsely accused you of hitting her car …” They have got a point because how is this fair? Others were convinced that the officer was biased and that he took the White woman’s side. “He was 100% on her side before even seeing proof is wild,” one person wrote. Another person then said, “He clearly chose a side.”
Others found it obnoxious that the Minnesota woman didn’t even apologize or hold herself accountable. “The lack of accountability. Their egos are bruised,” one person wrote. Another person asked, “why couldn’t they apologize when they were proven wrong??” Someone else pointed out how the entire situation is bizarre as they said, “She made a false report, didn’t get in trouble for it, then the cop implied that they would have convicted him based on her statement and the camera angle. (‘It would have shown you flinging the door open’) Call that cops boss he is racist.” The cop should have treated the situation differently. A lot of people even believed that if the positions were reversed, the cop wouldn’t have let the parent go like he did with the teacher.
