When you order via DoorDash, it’s sometimes best not to think about where the bag of food’s been en route to your home, unless you get shown a photo. A DoorDash driver in Texas sent their customer a picture of the Wingstop delivery in their car, but the sight provided anything but assurance that the food was in good hands. “[Did the] driver set my food on top of a dirty diaper in his car?” the customer asked in disbelief, sharing a photo of the horror scene on Reddit.
“Help me understand what I’m looking at 😭 the Reddit user asked in their post on r/doordash. “Is this grounds for a refund?” The top comment sarcastically read, “‘where flavor gets its wings‘ 🤣🤣.” Jokes aside, many commenters were quick to point out that the diaper does not look used, fortunately enough. Whether it was a parent or someone who had experience changing diapers before, the majority of people in the comment section collectively agreed that it indeed was not a used diaper. Still, that didn’t make the scene any less appealing.
The food was placed on the floor beside the driver’s shoes and some other miscellaneous items. “The diapers may be clean, but the Crocs the bag is on are nasty AF,” remarks a user in disgust. “Why would the dasher knowingly take a photo of the order in the floor to begin with? asked another. A reply explained that perhaps this driver didn’t even know that these ‘en route delivery’ photos are sent to the customer. On the other hand, if they did know and still sent a picture of the horrendous scene anyway, it’s pretty shameless.
And if the diaper and Crocs weren’t enough, the Texan customer shared an update, saying that the seal was torn open and several of the fries were missing. Fortunately, they noted that they did get a “full refund plus a little extra 🙂↕️.” Regardless, many feel the DoorDash driver was highly unprofessional and lacked respect for their customer’s order. While a suspension from their job might be a little extreme, a poor review from the customer might teach them a lesson before delivering DoorDash on their car floor with diapers again.
