If a place is open to the public, no one can act like they own it. Unfortunately, an unhinged Alabama Karen thought that she owns a lake just because she lives nearby. Apparently, she is used to swimming in the lake and got upset that a man was fishing there. Instead of simply swimming at times when he wasn’t there, she decided to harass him. While he was in his boat fishing, she went near the lake and started arguing. He told her that he could fish wherever he wanted to fish, and she definitely didn’t like that. Insanely enough, she jumped into the water and started swimming toward him to keep arguing. “And I can do whatever the hell I want to do,” she said before jumping. This is the definition of being an unhinged Karen.
According to the Alabama Karen, she had a hook in her foot before which is why she is acting like this. That still doesn’t justify what she was doing. Even when the fisherman said he could get her arrested for “harassing an outdoorsman,” she didn’t care. She kept arguing as she swam toward the man which was honestly funny because you could hear the water splashing. Her audacity didn’t stop either because she told him that he was in her water. Apparently, she thought that she owned the lake. You would wish that she would stop talking, but she just kept going. She told the man that he must be having a bad night if he is fishing. What does that even mean? Unfortunately for her, he is a professional fisherman so the insult didn’t land.
The Alabama fisherman posted an update as well about what happened next. A deputy at the county contacted him saying that he would be watching the area. According to the deputy, he wouldn’t mind signing a warrant on the Karen. He also told the fisherman that he would talk to her and explain the law. Hopefully, that would be enough for her to stop harassing people because, apparently, she had done this before with someone else. Since some people believed that the woman was a Trump supporter, the fisherman drove by her house and made sure that she had no Trump signs. So he was basically proving that she was a liberal which delighted a lot of republicans. Karens can belong to any political party though.
People Reacting to the Unhinged Alabama Karen
A lot of people mocked the Alabama Karen for what she did and for the fact that she actually jumped into the water. This kind of dedication made one person write, “Thats a committed Karen.” Others wanted to annoy her by going to the lake as well, and that made another person say, “Where she at. I’m going next weekend.” One woman also said what she would have done if she were in that situation. “I’d start the motor….,” she wrote. It’s honestly not worth it. Another woman found it funny that the Karen actually jumped in the water. “HER SWIMMING TO KEEP ARGUING LOL,” she said. There were also some serious comments as someone advised the fisherman to actually call and complain. “Don’t threaten to call…. Call. She could use a ticket that carries a huge fine,” they wrote. I don’t think she would have cared.
More people kept dragging the Alabama Karen, as some suggested that the fisherman should have made her keep swimming until she got tired. “You’re on a boat see who gets tired first,” one person wrote. Another comment said, “Make her follow you in circles, see how tired she gets.” One woman also had a great idea as she wrote, “I would’ve pretended to leave, and when she left I’d turn around and go back. She would be tired by the time I was through with her.. Lol.” Others brought up politics as one person said, “them dems are outta control.” That definitely started quite the argument, as someone else said, “How do those dems afford waterfront properties if they don’t work? She sounds more like a republican.” Aside from this discourse, more people kept dragging her so at least no one sided with her.
