An Alabama customer is calling out DoorDash after their food order was tossed carelessly on the ground by a delivery driver, despite the customer leaving a tip. The entire incident was captured on a Ring camera and later shared online, where it quickly drew strong reactions from netizens. In the video, the DoorDash driver can be seen approaching the front door with the bag of food. Instead of setting it down properly, he drops it onto the ground with little care, then pulls out his phone to take the required proof-of-delivery photo. After noticing the bag had landed awkwardly, he crouched down to adjust it before finally snapping the picture and walking away.
The customer, who shared the footage on TikTok, tagged the company directly and expressed frustration at the delivery experience. “I didn’t do anything wrong and I gave him a tip. @DoorDash these are the types of people y’all are hiring,” they wrote, adding a call for accountability: “@DoorDash let’s get him fired.”
What People Are Saying About the Alabama DoorDash Driver’s Attitude
In the comments section of the TikTok video, many netizens criticized the driver’s behavior. “These are the people you take the tip from,” one viewer wrote. A second commented, “Ppl are SO miserable 😭.” A third said, “It’s so funny bc he still had to bend down and fix the bag for the pic so why not set it down correctly in the first place lol 😂.”
Some pointed out that the job itself was voluntary. “What I don’t get is that that job is optional,” a comment read. Another added, “Even if you didn’t tip he didn’t have to accept the order.” Someone else remarked, “I don’t get why he’s mad about a job that he decided to work for… to throw someone’s food is absolutely diabolical. You cannot force someone to give you a tip. Apply for another job if it’s that bad,”
Several netizens shared how they avoid such issues, with one writing, “Oh nah that’s exactly why I meet them before they get to my door. You gone hand me my food idc [sic].” A few added they no longer use delivery services at all. “I don’t use them anymore. I eat at home and go out every now and then,” one person said.
