‘Unfit’ Donald Trump Sparks Outrage After Sharing ‘Racist’ AI Video: ‘Absolutely Disgusting’

Another Trump Truth Social video controversy

As the United States teeters on the brink of a government shutdown, President Donald Trump is facing backlash after sharing a racist, AI-generated video mocking Democratic leaders. The video, posted on both Donald Trump’s X account and his official Truth Social page, has ignited outrage online, with critics calling it “absolutely disgusting” and “unfit” for a sitting president. The clip features Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, just hours after the two met with Trump at the White House to negotiate over the looming shutdown.

BREAKING: Donald Trump just posted this insane AI slop. The government shuts down less than 27 hours from now. He is not serious about governing. We will make him own this shutdown. pic.twitter.com/ocyiZXKv7j

In the AI-generated video, Jeffries is shown wearing a sombrero and mustache, while Schumer speaks in a fake, distorted voice. The fabricated Schumer declares that Democrats want to give undocumented immigrants “free healthcare” because minority voters supposedly dislike the party and Democrats need the votes in upcoming elections.

As mariachi music plays in the background, the fake voice goes on to parrot false GOP talking points, attacking Democratic leaders as “woke” and mocking their policies. One line claims, “There’s no way to sugar coat it: Nobody likes Democrats anymore.”

The video quickly sparked condemnation across social media, with many users slamming Donald Trump for embracing racist stereotypes and promoting misinformation during a critical moment in American politics. One critic fumed, “This is disgusting. Trump is laughing at Americans as he takes away our right to exist.” Another wrote, “Unfit for president.” A third expressed, “The word racist.”

Trump Mocks Shutdown Talks With Racist AI Video Hours After Meeting Democrats

The timing of the video only intensified the backlash. Hours before posting, Donald Trump had hosted Jeffries and Schumer at the White House to discuss ways to avoid a shutdown that could furlough federal workers and halt key government programs. By that evening, the video appeared on his accounts, reframing the bipartisan talks as a mocking spectacle.

It didn’t take long for Democratic leaders to respond to Trump’s AI video. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries took to X with a sharp rebuke, writing, “Bigotry will get you nowhere. Cancel the Cuts. Lower the Cost. Save Healthcare. We are NOT backing down.” Moments later, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer delivered his own response, blasting Trump’s tactics as unserious and destructive. “If you think your shutdown is a joke, it just proves what we all know: You can’t negotiate. You can only throw tantrums,” Schumer posted.
