It’s so important for neighbors to look out for one another, especially in today’s world. It’s tough to know who to trust, especially when you’re not around. When a neighbor was deported, the founder of Kingdom Kennels ‘n Recovery took it upon herself to protect her property. And when two men showed up claiming ownership of her neighbor’s house in Halletsville, Texas, she was ready to defend it.

In her video, you can hear her asking two men which company they’re with. One of the men avoids eye contact, while the other stands there uncomfortably. “Who are you with? Who are you legally binding with that puts you in control? I want to see the purchase agreement.” Viewers can hear her asking, among other things. The two men don’t respond, choosing to walk away rather than provide answers. “Don’t play that [expletive] game with me,” the rescue’s founder says at the end of the video.

In several follow-up videos, she also provides proof that the home still belongs to the previous owner. Even after being deported, the house remained in their name. Viewers of the video were disgusted, and more than one person noted how history is repeating itself. “It’s so reminiscent of what happened in the late 1930s!” One TikTok user commented. “It’s starting. They will start taking properties and assets claiming abandonment!” Another agreed, saying, “Well, this looks like history repeating itself. People have no shame or morals.”

Some defended the current owners, saying, “These poor people who got deported worked so hard to buy a house, now these people just want to keep it.” Another commented on the state of the country, saying, “Unbelievable how thieves are on the hunt to steal properties that belong to the people who got deported. Newsflash! They still own the property, and no one can take it away from them unless it’s a foreclosure.”
