While many are struggling to complete objectives inside Battlefield 6, others are waging a war outside of it with some of its technical issues, one of them being the “Purchase to Play” error that keeps appearing for many players. Initially, this might seem like a daunting issue, especially since many gamers already own the game, but the system is telling them they don’t. Yet, there’s no need to fret, as you don’t have to purchase the game twice.
‘Purchase to Play’ Error Solution
If you’re unaware about what’s happening with the current launch of Battlefield 6, the fact is that it’s been a bit bumpy for some gamers, especially those facing the “Purchase to Play” error. This issue has appeared for many gamers out there who are trying to play the game normally after going through the launcher and then facing the screen you can see in the above post that was shared on the r/Battlefield Reddit community.
While there are other issues that people are facing right now in Battlefield 6, this one was one of the first that Battlefield Studios addressed, as you can see in the post below:
At the time of writing, people are still experiencing difficulties launching the game. However, a few users have reported that there’s one quick fix for the “Purchase to Play” error, assuming you don’t mind playing Battlefield 6 on another platform.
According to some gamers, this problem happens only when launching the game from the EA app. A workaround to this problem is refunding the game and then purchasing it through Steam. So far, this fix has worked for many, as it seems to be a problem that affects only those who bought it through the EA app.
Yet, if you still want to play the game on the EA app, the only thing you can do right now is wait for a solution from EA and Battlefield Studios. Also, since they have addressed it, we could expect an official fix to come soon, but there’s no timeframe for that. It could happen in a couple of hours or throughout the weekend.
