It isn’t a secret that the patriarchy has historically treated women as inferior to their male counterparts. Women have had to fight hard for society to count them as equals. While women’s rights have grown in some ways, they still have a long way to go. Many still hold the opinion that women should be seen, not heard from. In Georgia, a male teacher is now under fire for telling his co-ed classroom that educating women was “the worst thing to happen” to date.
A mother who goes by QueenBigDawg on TikTok recently shared her son Noah’s recording. After his male high school teacher began speaking out against women, Noah took his phone out and recorded it. The footage captures several misogynistic statements made to a shocked co-ed classroom at LoveJoy High School, in Clayton County, Georgia.
The Georgia teacher chose to ask multiple students their thoughts on educating women. But not before he told them that he was fully against it. When only one student appeared to agree with his stance, he defended his opinion with endless sexist comments. He not only told them he wanted to keep his wife uneducated, but desired full control over what she did.
Men are producers about control. I don’t want my wife to know nothing… So I can control a paycheck, tell her when to eat, sleep… I’m just saying.
The teacher went on to tell students that he was sharing his personal opinion. He also said he was required to tell them all women were entitled to the same education.
Georgia Mom Will Not Let Teacher Off The Hook
On October 10th, QueenBigDawg brought her son’s video evidence to the principal at LoveJoy High School. In a separate TikTok video, she praised him and the Georgia school board for the way that they handled the issue. School officials will conduct a full investigation into what happened inside of Noah’s high school classroom. They will also reportedly ask every student their thoughts on what unfolded on the day in question.
QueenBigDawg also thanks viewers for helping the video go viral. Other upset individuals left their thoughts in comments. One person summed it up best when she stated, “The misogyny is insane.”
Others offered legal advice, praised Noah for his quick thinking, and sent words of solidarity. Thankfully, it seems that the education system in Clayton County, Georgia, in no way supports what this teacher has said.
