You’d think people would know better than to be openly racist in 2025. It only takes one video to get canceled and publicly shamed. But a deranged white woman in Missouri didn’t seem to care. She was caught on camera by a Latino couple after harassing them for speaking Spanish. The man calmly explained that he spoke both English and Spanish, but that wasn’t enough for her. “America, English,” she snapped back.
It’s wild that being bilingual is now something to be criticized. She clearly wasn’t interested in learning, either, because she went on to say, “English is the capital of America.” Whatever that means. Her racist comments didn’t stop there, she went on to assume the couple was from Mexico. In reality, they were from Puerto Rico. Still, she wouldn’t leave them alone and eventually told them to “go back there.”
No matter what the Missouri couple said, the woman wouldn’t stop. “I’m standing up for America,” she shouted. But how exactly is being racist “standing up for America”? Both of them were U.S. citizens, they live here, they work here, and they pay their taxes.
After trying to reason with her, the man finally had enough. He went to a Pizza Hut employee and explained that she was harassing them for speaking Spanish. Thankfully, the employee immediately stood up for the couple. He told the woman he’d refund her money and that they wouldn’t be serving her, as it was the least they could do.
Still, she had the audacity to claim she wasn’t being racist. Absolutely absurd. “You can leave,” the employee told her firmly before apologizing to the couple for what they had to endure. Hopefully, she learned something about respect that day.
People Reacting to the Missouri Woman
No one sided with the Missouri woman, not a single person agreed with her behavior. The video quickly drew backlash, with many people calling her out. Since racism is often associated with Trump supporters, one commenter wrote, “Typical Trump supporter.” Another added, “She’s exactly the kind of person who voted for Trump.”
Because the woman was overweight, some people took things further and targeted her appearance. “She speaks McDonald’s,” one person joked. Another wrote, “Why are racist people always so ugly, fat, and brainless?” While the woman’s behavior was undeniably wrong, criticizing her looks instead of her actions didn’t help the conversation.
Interestingly, even some overweight commenters joined in on the ridicule. “I’m fat, so I try to be a good person because once you’re fat and racist, I’m sorry, but we’re all body-shaming you, and I’m joining in,” one woman admitted.
More people also weighed in on what the woman said, and some of her comments left everyone baffled. “‘English is the capital of America’? See, that’s where I would’ve just given up,” one person wrote. Another added, “English is the capital of America?! Wow.”
Others pointed out how strange it was to mock people for being bilingual. “I remember when being bilingual was a good thing,” one person commented. Someone else asked, “Why do people look down on others who know multiple languages?”
One mother even shared a personal story: “This is so sad. My five-year-old is learning Spanish and was speaking to me in Spanish in a store, and a lady told him he needed to speak English, which was very mean. He’s five! I didn’t go to jail that day; I’m proud,” she wrote.
It’s heartbreaking that moments like these keep happening, a reminder that racism is still far too common in today’s world.
