Hooded Atlanta ‘Vigilante’ Smashes Slot Machines with Sledgehammer: ‘Looks Like an ICE Agent’

While 99% of gamblers quit before they hit big, the 1% just decide to smash to cash out the jackpot with a sledgehammer. With this in mind, one individual in Atlanta, Georgia, went full Thor mode on a slot machine. This wasn’t done in secret either; the man did the deed in plain sight of other customers standing about, who had likely used the machines minutes earlier. Considering that the slot machines are illegal in the State, the police might not be around to stop him.

According to Georgia Criminal Lawyer, “Georgia is one of the ‘least friendly gambling states’ in the United States.” The website claims that, besides lottery betting, bingo games, or raffles, you won’t see slot machines in operation, unless it’s outside the law. As for the hooded man beating the machines with all his might to crack open their earnings, “the store can’t report it because those machines are illegal,” points out a Redditor. “That’s the twist, the guy isn’t stealing; he’s just being a vigilante!” jokes a reply.

Others chimed in, poking fun at some other specific individuals who commit unlawful deeds under the guise of doing good. “Face covered, not answering questions, this guy IS law enforcement,” remarks a commenter. “Looks like an ICE agent,” adds another. Of course, ICE is not out to stop crime or criminals, but reach their weekly quota of rounding up anyone that looks like “an illegal,” as many allegedly report. This Atlanta man appears to be exercising violence on a slot machine for some quick cash, at the risk of dealing with its shady owner, of course.

Even though the sledgehammer-wielding, slot machine-smashing man is not exactly in the right, many online users appreciated his work. “My blood started to boil because I thought those were arcade games. Then I saw it was gambling machines and yawned,” remarked a commenter. “Still the most ethical thing to take place in that building,” said a second. Some believed he could be a professional thief or even an ex-worker with slot machines, based on his knowledge of where to bash his hammer. “I’m mad he knew exactly how to open it 🤔” expressed a TikTok user.

At the very least, that particular machine won’t be stealing gambling addicts’ money anymore.
