Supportive Dallas Mom Prepares to Hand Out Water and Snacks at ‘No Kings’ Protest With Her Daughters: ‘Literal Queen’

That is so kind of her

People who can’t physically join the No Kings protests are finding other ways to show their support. One influencer mom in Dallas, Texas, decided to take part with her two young daughters to stand with protesters in her city. Instead of leaving her girls at home with a babysitter, she wanted to teach them the importance of peaceful protest and community action.

Since it can be tough to walk in a large crowd with small children, she came up with a thoughtful plan. Her family would drive around the area instead, handing out supplies to those marching. “As young parents, we want to show our support while keeping our girls safe, so we decided to go to Costco Wholesale to get bottled water and snacks to hand out tomorrow for Dallas’ No Kings protest,” she wrote.

In the rest of the video, the Dallas mom can be seen at Costco getting ready to buy the supplies. With more than 80,000 followers, she said that no hateful messages in her DMs would affect her or her values. She picked up several packs of bottled water to bring to the protest and added boxes of fruit snacks for anyone who might want a quick bite.

“Please be safe, know your rights, and happy protesting,” she said at the end of her video. It’s definitely a thoughtful and inspiring way for people to show their support.

People Reacting to the Dallas Mom’s Support

The comments under the Dallas mom’s video were split between support and criticism. Those who supported her praised her for what she was doing, with one person calling her a “literal queen.” Some mothers especially loved her idea, saying they wanted to join the protests too, but still keep their kids safe. “Wait, I love this idea. I have a 3-year-old,” one mom wrote.

Another comment pointed out the difficult reality that many people of color are facing in America right now. “I want to go to mine, but it makes me nervous because I have some brown people at home and I don’t want to bring trouble to them,” the person wrote. Sadly, that fear is one of the very reasons people are protesting in the first place.

Of course, some Trump supporters also left comments on the Dallas woman’s video. One wrote, “The fact that people are able to freely protest literally means that we, in fact, do not have kings.”

That comment led to a thoughtful reply from someone who disagreed but stayed respectful. “I don’t want to offend you. I’m saying this as someone who loves my country and cares about my fellow citizens. Defending this regime and their corruption is blind following. There is so much proof that they don’t care about you or me, only themselves. I understand that your political beliefs might make you feel like you should defend these politicians and their choices, but that’s not the case. Defend yourself. The moment our constitutional rights like due process and freedom of the press begin to erode, our entire system of freedom and liberty starts to crumble.”

That was definitely a well-worded and respectful response.
