Everyone expected that some Trump supporters would show up at the No Kings protests, and that’s exactly what happened in Colorado. A MAGA group walked by one of the protests, chanting things like “Let’s go, ICE” and “God bless Trump.” But things took a turn when one of them started giving protesters the middle finger and shouting slurs.
One protester decided he’d had enough. He snatched the man’s glasses and took off running. The MAGA supporter chased after him, but that turned out to be a bad idea. He tripped and fell flat on his face as the crowd burst out laughing. The fall looked rough, especially since he slid across the ground headfirst. You’d think that would be enough to make him stop, but instead, he hurled another slur and went running after the protester again.
Once the Colorado MAGA supporter started running, one of the protesters tripped him. You’d think that would have been enough to stop him, but he got up again and went right back after the crowd. He was bleeding slightly from his face, and a kind woman tried to hold him back, telling him to stop. That’s when another Trump supporter stepped in and shoved her away. A protester immediately pushed him off her, shouting, “Get your buddy!”
Despite the bleeding, the man kept walking toward the protester who had taken his glasses. A woman nearby began filming and told him, “Get the [expletive] out of here.” Meanwhile, the protester with the glasses was backing away as the man continued to advance.
Finally, another man intervened, grabbing the Trump supporter and trying to calm him down. “I’m sorry about what happened to you,” he said. “I don’t know who that group was that reacted to you.” The video ended there, so it’s unclear whether the man decided to leave. Unfortunately, showing up to a protest just to provoke others and throw slurs usually doesn’t end well. Hopefully, he got some help for the cut on his face.
People Reacting to the Colorado MAGA Man
A lot of people were thrilled to see the Colorado MAGA man get instant karma. Many even found the way he fell hilarious. One commenter wrote, “Face slid like an air hockey puck.” Another person joked that he must have been drunk based on how he went down, writing, “That’s a drunk slide. This man’s inebriated.”
While a few tried to defend him, most people weren’t having it. “What a mess. I have absolutely no sympathy for him,” one person wrote. “His two falls happened when he was charging at someone else. He didn’t think the lefties could fight. Well, we can. We don’t exactly sit on toadstools and toss fairy dust. We just tend not to start fights in the first place.”
More people pointed out that the MAGA supporter shouldn’t have gone to the No Kings protest in Colorado in the first place. “Maybe don’t go to an anti-Trump protest and provoke everyone. If I went to a Trump rally and walked around the parking lot insulting people with slurs, do you think I’d leave in better shape? I don’t,” one person wrote.
Others joked about how Republicans might spin the situation. “Next week, he’ll receive an invite to the White House and get the Medal of Freedom,” one Redditor said. Another added, “He’s going on Fox in 30 minutes, by the way.” But someone else disagreed, writing, “If he had caught and beaten the kid, maybe yes. But this dude is a laughing stock the whole video. He dilutes the brand. He’s one of the 95 percent of Trump voters that Trump is actually disgusted by.”
That might not be too far from the truth.
