Minnesota Woman’s Grandfather Doesn’t Like to Hear Facts, Prefers to Listen to Fox News for Everything, ‘We cut my grandma’s Fox News years ago’

These elders are being taken advantage of

Dealing with older generations can sometimes be a bummer, especially when they’re so stuck in their ways. When you love a parent or grandparent, you expect the best out of them. So, when you find out they voted a certain way due to hatred or disregard for other people, it’s a tough pill to swallow.. A Minnesota woman recently visited her grandpa at his assisted living facility and heard some things she disagreed with. She took it upon herself to try to talk some sense into good ole’ gramps, but the results aren’t looking good.

On TikTok, Ciara Chomp posted a video saying she recently visited her 84-year-old Republican grandpa at his assisted living facility. When she arrived, he was watching Fox News, where they were talking about the recent No Kings protests. Ciara said she took the chance to “poke the bear,” and asked about the protests. “Why are you defending his ability to call himself the king of the United States?”

Her grandpa claimed that he never heard Trump call himself a king. Ciara took it upon herself to show her grandfather the AI video Trump posted of himself wearing a crown and dumping literal feces on protestors. She said her grandpa looked “mortified” over the video. He told her he didn’t believe Trump actually posted that (surprise, surprise).

Ciara took things to the next level by showing her grandpa a Fox News article, which confirmed he posted the AI video himself. Even with the evidence in front of him, Ciara’s grandpa tried to deny the facts. Ciara said people who still support Trump are just “willfully ignorant.”

Numerous commenters shared identical experiences from their own family. “We cut my grandma’s Fox News years ago. She’s returned to a normal human being with critical thinking skills,” one admitted.

Another person pointed out, “I live in Idaho and have conservative family. In my experience, they aren’t ignorant, they just don’t care. It’s like a sports team, as long as they are ‘winning’ they’ll make any excuse for any behavior.”

If it involves ‘owning the liberals,’ then it’s probably going to make a conservative happy. And from there, they’ll believe just about anything Trump says. Not to mention being duped into hating illegal immigrants because they’ve been led to believe they get free healthcare.
