It’s normal for kids to get into trouble. It’s part of growing up. Sometimes their antics are harmless and even funny, but other times they’re downright horrifying. That’s exactly how one New York father felt after his young son did something that no parent ever wants to imagine.
In a story that quickly went viral, the dad shared that his son went into a men’s bathroom, reached into a urinal, and pulled out a urinal cake. As disgusting as that sounds, it got even worse because the boy actually took a bite out of it. What could possibly make him think that was food?
The father said he realized what had happened when he smelled something strange on his son’s breath, then confirmed it by checking the urinal. Of course, he immediately made the boy spit it out.
The New York dad went on to share what happened next after making the horrifying discovery. He double-checked to make sure it was, unfortunately, exactly what he feared, a urinal cake. “This was one of the most disturbing things I think any of my children has ever done,” he admitted.
Once they got home, he immediately searched online to see if urinal cakes are toxic to eat. Honestly, that’s probably the first time anyone’s ever had to Google that. Not surprisingly, the boy ended up with a bad case of diarrhea. It would’ve been shocking if nothing had happened.
It’s safe to say this kid won’t be left alone anytime soon. The father hasn’t shared any further updates, but hopefully the worst of it ended with that bout of diarrhea.

A nurse also shared her opinion and said, “I’m a nurse… I’d take him to your nearest GP and have him have a full spectrum test done… urinals carry Hep A, Norovirus, Rotavirus, E Coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Staph infection plus a load more…. There’s a lot!” Yikes. Someone else wrote, “Whether or not the urinal cake is toxic (very likely), other people’s piss definitely is.”
