A Concerned Customer Reports to a Little Caesars in Graham a Piece of Glass Inside a Slice of Their Pizza: ‘Usually I Find These Posts and Everyone Wants a 6-Figure Settlement’

It’s an accident, yes, but it’s still very dangerous

Any place that sells food, whether it’s a large franchise or a small business, must follow very specific legal requirements. Of course, accidents happen, but even so, those responsible must be very careful to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. That’s why a very concerned customer reported that they found a piece of glass in a slice of pizza they bought at the Little Caesars location in Graham, Washington. The customer didn’t go crazy over the incident, but many people disagree with them.

On r/LittleCaesars, redditor Longjumping-Desk3968 asked users for their opinion on whether their behavior and tone in their email were appropriate. The reason OP had to send an email was that after ordering pizza from a Little Caesars location in Graham, Washington, they found a piece of glass in a slice they were about to finish. But far from making a scene like any Karen would, OP decided to inform the pizzeria of the incident via email, which they shared in the post, simply asking for a refund.

“Very adult, actually. Usually, I find these posts, and everyone wants a 6-figure settlement,” said Shitfilledpussy. Like this user, several others agreed with OP’s calm response. Furthermore, in the comments, OP says they reacted this way because they believe the situation could have been a genuine mistake, and it could have happened to anyone. Others on OP’s side say they shouldn’t settle for a refund, because OP could have been seriously injured.

However, other Redditors suggest that OP might be exaggerating the situation because they believe the glass was actually Lexan. Even so, swallowing Lexan, although difficult, is not impossible and can be very dangerous. As the user HavukruunuMetal described, saying: “It’s not glass, it’s Lexan. They put their ingredients in plastic Lexan containers. Regardless if that was managed to be swallowed(you’d have to be severely drunk to not spit that out) it would make choppy suey out of your guts”.

Fortunately, this incident did not escalate, and OP did not find any more “glass” in the rest of their pizza. Now it all depends on how the pizzeria responds to the email. For those who are curious, OP promises to post updates on whatever happens with this unusual case. Let’s hope they can reach an agreement —whether it’s glass or Lexan — a simple refund for a pizza is a quick and easy solution.
