When you order food, there’s always a small risk of finding something you definitely didn’t ask for. People have come across all kinds of strange things in their meals — staples, bits of wood, even glass. But a woman in Texas recently discovered something that tops them all. Inside her Popeyes order, she found not just fried chicken pieces but an entire chicken head. Yes, it was cooked right along with the rest of the food. While kitchen mix-ups can happen, this one left no room for doubt. The woman, clearly stunned, held it up on camera and kept repeating, “This is,” before pointing out the beak. It’s one of those moments you can hardly believe is real.

If you thought finding a chicken beak in a meal was shocking, this story goes even further. The Texas woman then revealed the fried chicken head’s eye, still intact. “The chicken looks like it’s crying. I’m traumatized,” she wrote over the video. Honestly, who wouldn’t be? She followed up with a frustrated “Seriously, Popeyes?” and admitted that her appetite was completely gone, which is more than fair. According to her, the order came from a Popeyes location on Airline Drive in Houston. The real question is, how did no one notice the head before it hit the fryer?

People Reacting to the Texas Woman’s Popeyes Order

It wasn’t just the Texas woman who was shocked at finding a chicken head in her order. People couldn’t believe it either. A lot said that they would be traumatized as well, which is why one person wrote, “I’m suing for emotional distress.” Another person was more serious as they said, “that’s gotta be some kinda lawsuit.” Some comments agreed that this was worth a lawsuit. There was one person, though, who believed that not everything should be a lawsuit, but TikTok users quickly let them know that this situation is different. “Because why did they give shorty the whole chicken?! What if this was for a kid and they unknowingly bit into an entire SKULL?! Do you not understand how insane this is?!” one person asked.

Others left comments saying that there is no way that what happened to the Texas woman was a mistake. “The fact the Popeyes flour their chicken & fry in store means an employee SEEN this, floured it, fried it & gave it out purposely,” one woman wrote. This is a good point honestly. Another person believed otherwise as they said, “This fried by mistake but you should return it and show them and they will compensate or give u an exchange.” This could be an option, but the woman might not look forward to eating chicken anytime soon because someone else added, “The way I wouldn’t eat chicken for the next 5yrs.” Hopefully, she will at least get her money back.
