Former Prince Andrew Requested by US Congress To Explain Connection With Jeffrey Epstein: ‘This Is the Democrats Poking Trump’

They’re clearly asking him to walk into a trap

No longer a prince, Andrew is now under heavy scrutiny now that King Charles has essentially admitted that the allegations about his brother are true. To recap, he was kicked out of his home and relieved of his privileges as royalty, with the Palace announcing this punishment, along with acknowledging the victims Andrew had affected. Now that he’s in the spotlight as a guilty offender, the US Congress has requested his appearance in an interview, so they can “understand the full extent of [Epstein’s] criminal operations.”

According to the Mirror, House Oversight Committee member Robert Garcia has sent a letter to former Prince Andrew, asking him to cooperate with the ongoing Epstein investigation. After all, it’s now public knowledge that the two were not only in cahoots, but they were also in contact with each other, even after all was known about the two’s sex-offending crimes. Thirteen other committee members have also reportedly signed the letter, requesting that Andrew provide what he knows to the US Congress. A Mirror source expressed the following:

“Any idea that the Epstein scandal was fading into the background is over. This is extremely serious for Andrew. The fact Congress now wants to question him means this won’t simply disappear with time. Whatever hopes there were of the issue dying down have evaporated. The Americans are turning up the heat. For Andrew, this drags everything right back into the spotlight, and there is no easy route out.”

In other words, there’s little chance of Andrew just fading into oblivion while the rest of the world forgets his offenses. Many are pleased that he was eventually punished, yet plenty more advocate for him to be put on trial and sent to jail. Of course, whether this happens or not is mostly up to the UK government and King Charles, but there’s no telling what Prince William will do once he’s inherited the crown. He has already expressed that big changes are coming to the monarchy, but only time will tell whether he’ll follow through. Sussex followers wonder about Harry and Meghan’s fate as well, but William likely has more important matters to attend to once he’s King.

They clearly knew this was coming…

As for Andrew, online commenters believe this is no more than an empty push of sorts with a political agenda. “This is the democrats poking Trump,” remarks a Redditor, pointing out that Robert Garcia and the other thirteen members of the House Oversight Committee who signed the request on behalf of Congress are Democrats. “We all knew this was coming? Dems have been blubbering about it for weeks,” adds another. “He was asked. He can politely decline,” chimed in a third.

And they aren’t wrong. Not only do the fourteen involved with this request for Andrew not have any authority under Congress to make any moves, but it’s not like a former royal in the UK would easily give themselves over for investigation in the States.
