The long-awaited TWID is here, and Bungie has unveiled some exciting things. For starters, the Destiny 2: Renegades dungeon race is coming. Veterans might be familiar with this, but those jumping into this expansion for the first time should know it is a major event with many community members participating. Also, we got to see the Star Wars-inspired dungeon, a dark saber, and even a handful of new features and changes coming in the next month.

The Dungeon Race of Destiny 2: Renegades Begins on December 13

The big thing about this TWID is the dungeon race of Destiny 2: Renegades. Bungie uploaded a trailer of Equilibrium, the new instance coming to the expansion, and one that looks heavily inspired by Star Wars. Fans of the legendary sci-fi franchise might see how it looks a bit like Yavin 4 with some Imperial Base-like interiors. Those with keen eyes might’ve spotted a Dark Saber-like weapon, too.

The race will start on December 13, the day the dungeon launches. If you want to learn more about how to participate as a Fireteam, you can check the official site.

In other news, a feature called Vanguard Alerts is coming to Destiny 2: Renegades. Some players will see similarities to Vanguard Ops and Grandmaster Nightfall. These activities will rotate weekly to keep things fresh. Also, there is a fast-paced PvE arena for six players that you can experience.

Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts should be as difficult as the old Grandmaster Nightfalls, so if you already tackled a few of those, you should feel right at home. In terms of dungeons and raids, you can also find them in this mode, with Equilibrium and Desert Perpetual also showing up in this list.

For rewards, each weapon you earn from Vanguard Alerts will be Tier 3. Vanguard Alerts will also be the ones housing seasonal weapons, so keep that in mind. To make things more alluring, you can earn 50 Chronologs in Vanguard Alerts, 50 Bright Dust on Arena Ops, and 50 Bright Dust on Crucible each week. Bungie also mentioned that it is looking for ways to bring legacy content into Vanguard Alerts, as well as a place for this mode in the Portal.

Overall, things are looking bright for Destiny 2: Renegades, and Vanguard Alerts, alongside the dungeon race, should be enough to get some people hyped for this expansion. Also, you can start preparing for Renegades through the new Call to Arms event, which also got some adjustments according to this week’s TWID. As always, we’ll link it here in case you want to see everything coming to the game.
