We’ve all heard about aggressive customers, but believe it or not, we also have aggressive employees who are even worse than the former. To give you an example, a hairstylist in Birmingham, Alabama, provided a service for a customer. The customer paid the agreed-upon price, but once the hairstylist finished the job, she decided to increase the price. Naturally, the customer wasn’t okay with it, so she decided not to pay. Instead of talking like a sane person, the employee pulled the client’s hair, preventing her from leaving until she paid the new price that came out of nowhere.
As you can see in the video, the OP mentions the victim went to the hair salon for a $200 braid style. However, when the hairstylist finished, she demanded an extra $50. Of course, the customer didn’t like this and refused to pay the additional cost, as she had already paid the agreed-upon price.
Since the customer refused to pay, the hairstylist grabbed her by the hair, preventing her from leaving, and demanding the extra $50. The client started recording the situation, where you can hear the employee aggressively asking for more money. Yet, the customer emphasizes that she paid what they agreed.
At one point, the victim even asks them to show the money, and the hairstylist does, meaning that the client did nothing wrong here. However, the irate woman refuses to let the woman go and continues to aggravate her by pulling her hair. If you listen closely, the client threatens to sue the hairstylist, but the attacker responds by saying, “I WILL shoot you.” She clearly misunderstood the woman, but it was still a terrible overreaction.
Then the hair salon worker threatens to start a live stream and asks others to help her film the situation. But at this point, the customer has already recorded everything, exposing the furious employee, who should definitely be detained for assaulting a woman inside the establishment.
The video baffled many Redditors who quickly sided with the poor victim.
“You can’t change your price after you’ve done the service, especially if you have a quote,” commented one user.
“It’s hard to say who’s in the wrong here without more context. But you don’t assault your customers and threaten to shoot them over $50,” said another user.
In the end, we don’t know whether someone defused the situation or if the hairstylist let the client go. Still, this is unacceptable behaviour, and something you should never do to your paying customers.
