Sometimes, children don’t know their own strength or don’t understand how destructive they can be if they aren’t careful. There is a reason, after all, why people call the time a child becomes mobile and mischievous the “terrible twos.” And one toddler in Texas definitely showed she has yet to grasp the concept of a ‘gentle touch’ when she slammed the sliding glass shower door in the bathroom, shattering it into hundreds of pieces. If that wasn’t bad enough, the dad was using the toilet when the terrifying incident took place.

Toddler Slammed Sliding Shower Door and Shattered it on Herself

“He was literally mid-piss when she shattered the glass on them both,” the mother explained on r/mildlyinfuriating, speaking about her husband during the shower door accident. “He was lucky he didn’t get cut at all considering he was covered in glass debris.” As for the toddler, she was very unfortunate to come out of the accident more or less unscathed. “She’s [expletive] LUCKY she only got two superficial cuts,” the mom exclaimed. The fact that the dad and daughter weren’t seriously injured is definitely a miracle, with the main issue being the heaps of tiny glass shards everywhere.

Now, the family uses a curtain instead of the sliding glass door to use the shower. But hopefully, the daughter learned a solid lesson about being more gentle and careful. This door-shattering incident wasn’t the only bizarre thing that happened in the Texas home. According to the mother, she also pulled a dead squirrel out of her toilet. That said, many agree that ‘mildy infuriating’ is not quite the correct term for this story. “That’s a total chaos moment! Glad everyone’s okay…” says one commenter.

Whatever the case, the toddler daughter hopefully has learned a valuable lesson about slamming doors: you just don’t do it. Otherwise, you might have a small pond of glass shards in your shower if you aren’t careful
