It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without a little family drama. Sometimes it is a shouting match, and other times someone ends up getting kicked out of the house. That is exactly what happened to one Ohio family after a man caused major chaos by kicking out his own mother for disrespecting his wife.
In a video shared by the wife, the son is seen throwing his mom’s bag and belongings out of the house. She walked out moments later. It was clear she was not happy about what happened because she kept picking up some of the items he had thrown outside and then slamming them back onto the ground in frustration.
To make things even more chaotic, the man also kicked out his brother. Eventually, the mom gathered her things and left, ending the holiday on a dramatic note.
It was definitely an unforgettable Thanksgiving, just not in the way most families hope for.
In another video, the Ohio man’s wife explained what happened. Apparently, his mom never loved her and always tries to escalate any fights the couple has. She even accused the wife of stealing before. On Thanksgiving, she came to their house at midnight, and they let her stay the night. For some reason, a fight started between the mom and her son. Instead of keeping this between them, she got her daughter-in-law involved and started talking horribly to her. The wife didn’t even do anything to her during all of this, especially since she was just waking up. When her husband told his mom to leave, the mom kept insulting her. This is why he started throwing and kicking her stuff. She also wanted to fight her son’s wife. So it is understandable why he had had enough of such behavior.
People Reacting to the Ohio Man Kicking Out His Mom
You would think that people would be against what the Ohio man did, but the majority of comments sided with them. For example, one person said, “at least he doesn’t allow it ! good for him.” Another person wrote, “‘You only get one mom’, well she doesn’t act like one so that statement is nullified.” Since the son threw some liquor bottles outside as well, one woman said, “The liquor bottles tell me there’s a deeper story here.” Someone else believed that one’s family is more important than the relationship they have with their parents. “The family you build is absolutely more important than the one you came from. That’s his wife. Yall don’t get it,” they said.
Many people defended the Ohio man’s decision. One person commented, “Haven’t spoken to my side of the family in over a year because of this. Disrespect MY WIFE and you lose access to OUR KIDS. She is the rock of our family, and we’d be nothing without her.”
Of course, not everyone agreed. Some criticized the son for how he handled it. One commenter wrote, “I would never throw my mom out like that or her stuff. I don’t care how disrespectful my mom is. At the end of the day she is still my mom. She can leave the house, but I will not throw her out like that.”
