Sometimes, the greatest of gifts comes from the most unexpected of places and in most cases, it’s right where you need them to be. This is especially so whenever you’re going through a hard time, such as the death of a loved one. An Arizona man showed that people can be gifts, too, when he delivered flowers to a woman who had lost her husband just six days before. His kindness and actions are really what are helping me get through the rest of my day.

Only six days since I lost my husband, tragically and horribly… and every moment feels like a prayer I can’t finish.💔 My friends sent flowers today, and an angel arrived at my doorstep to place them in my hands. The message wasn’t in the bouquet… it was in the gentleness of the sweet, kind man who delivered it. Protect him. He is the proof that grace still walks this earth. 🤍 #griefjourney #lostmyhusband #healingheart #griefsupport #griefcommunity #humanityexists #kindnessmatters #ringcamera #fyp #missingyou

The above video was posted to the TikTok account @meeshinator, which hadn’t been used very often up until this particular video. In fact, the account owner, Michelle Marie, seems to use the platform as an escape for when terrible things happen, like the death of her husband. However, just six days after he had passed, a kind man walked up to Michelle’s door and delivered flowers to her.

When Michelle opened the door, she thanked the man, who immediately could tell that something was wrong. Instead of leaving her on her porch, he decided to give her a hug and reassure her that everything was going to be okay. More specifically, he said, “I’m sorry, baby. Just remember, though, we’re all gonna be up there sometime. Aren’t we? We need to carry on, do our thing.“

After the embrace, she stepped back and decided to ask the gentleman for his name, which is Greg Sherman, an employee of Abandale Florist in Tucson, Arizona. Just before the video ends, you can hear him say that he’s been delivering flowers for the last 35 years.

Commenters were quick to jump into the replies and praise the man’s actions, with many understanding just where he is coming from. One of the top comments even said, “That’s a man that lost his wife.” I have to agree, despite him never outright saying so.

Another top comment focuses more on what he actually says to help Michelle get through this difficult moment, saying, “Ugh he called her baby 🥺🥺 what a special man.” A new video on the topic was posted that shows a screenshot of the florist’s location in Tucson. In that screenshot, you can see that they had 177 reviews, but looking at it now shows nearly 500 reviews, with most of the recent ones being five stars.
