If you ever thought that ICE agents cared about law, order, or basic human rights, this video might change your mind real quick. You’d think they would show at least a little restraint, especially when dealing with a politician, but clearly that wasn’t the case at all. Recently, Democratic Rep. Adelita Grijalva uploaded a video showing her confronting ICE agents during a raid at Taco Giro in Tucson, Arizona. What really shocked people wasn’t just the argument itself. It was the fact that she was allegedly pepper sprayed right in the middle of it. In the video, you can clearly see an agent spraying pepper spray into the crowd without much hesitation, almost like he didn’t care who was standing in front of him.

And the wild part? Nobody was being violent. Arizona people were protesting, shouting, and demanding answers, but there wasn’t any physical threat toward the agents. Still, they decided that pepper spraying the crowd was the appropriate response. That alone has people questioning what kind of “protocol” they really follow when conducting these operations.

Even after being sprayed, Grijalva didn’t back down. She kept stepping forward, trying to talk to the ICE agents and stop what was happening. She wanted answers, and she wanted the agents to leave. But instead of de-escalating the situation, another round of pepper spray was fired in her direction.

Later on, she posted another video explaining the full situation in Arizona. She said she had been standing with protesters who believed ICE was arresting people without any real due process. Wanting transparency and accountability, she tried to introduce herself as a member of Congress, thinking that might at least earn some level of respect or communication. According to her, most of the agents ignored her, brushed her off, and treated her as if she was just another person in the way.

She also claimed that members of the press were being targeted and pushed around as well, despite having the legal right to be there and document what was happening. Based on past incidents involving ICE, that part didn’t even surprise many people. It just added to the growing sense that these agents don’t care who you are or what your rights are.

Grijalva also made it clear that she believes this kind of behavior is encouraged by Trump’s hardline immigration stance and complete disregard for due process. In her eyes, that mindset is exactly why these agents felt comfortable going as far as they did.

Online, people had a lot to say. Many were angry and disgusted by what they saw, calling ICE’s actions inappropriate, aggressive, and unnecessary. One person commented, “ICE: making life worse for everyone, everywhere they go.” Another admitted they were shocked to see this happening so openly in Arizona, especially considering how important Latino and Hispanic voters are in the area. Some even said incidents like this are going to push more people to vote against Trump and his supporters.

Of course, not everyone was on Grijalva’s side. Some people argued that she shouldn’t have stepped in at all and that she got what was coming for not backing down when warned. Others said she was interfering with law enforcement and looking for attention.
