A man in Albuquerque is going viral on TikTok for crashing out on a homeless woman who had climbed into his car seconds after he unlocked it and then refused to leave. The short clip, which shows him repeatedly shouting for the woman to get out of his vehicle, has already reached more than 3 million views and drawn over 450,000 likes.

How the Situation Started

Based on the context he provided later, the car owner had received a call from some players on his university’s women’s basketball team, asking him if he could give them a ride to their facility so that they wouldn’t come in late for practice. After he agreed to help them, he started heading to where his car was parked outside, about 20 to 30 feet away from the door while texting his boss about where he was going.

As he walked toward his vehicle, he unlocked the doors while still texting, thinking he had only a few more seconds before getting in. That was when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a figure slip into the driver’s seat of his car. For a moment, he tried to convince himself he was imagining things, until he opened the door and confirmed that a woman he did not know was sitting inside.

Suspecting that the woman had taken substances, the man refrained from physically removing her because he worried she might have a needle or something that could injure him. “I don’t want her blood in my system… I don’t want a disease,” he explained, adding that the safest option seemed to be waiting for police to arrive rather than risking contact.

She Refused to Leave

When he asked the woman who she was and what she was doing, she responded by asking him who he was, as though he were the one intruding. And even though he told her plainly that she was sitting inside his car, she didn’t believe him and instead thought she should look at his receipts to confirm whether the car belonged to him.

As the man tried to get the woman to leave his vehicle, two of his coworkers drove up. One began recording, which resulted in the 9-second clip of him yelling that later went viral. He eventually gave the woman two choices: leave immediately and run off, or stay inside the car until officers arrived and face charges. Surprisingly, she chose to stay, insisting that she would wait right where she was. They stood there until police sirens became audible, at which point, according to him, the woman bolted, running so fast that he described it as almost comical.

Netizens React to the Albuquerque Homeless Woman Incident

In the comment section, people’s reactions to the incident were mixed. Some viewers sympathized with him and believed his frustration was justified. One person wrote, “You’re nicer than I would have been.” Another said, “He didn’t crash out even nearly enough for the situation. Being homeless doesn’t give someone the right to just go inside someone’s car.” A third added, “I don’t blame you for reacting the way you did. I wouldn’t want random strangers in my car or my property.”

Other netizens, however, did not support the man’s reaction at all, with one viewer arguing, “There is no excuse for a MAN to yell and curse at a woman like this,” while another said, “Treating people like this breaks my heart. she’s clearly struggling in life, there was a much better way to handle this💔”
