A woman in Phoenix, Arizona, noticed that something strange, ominous, and scary was lurking inside her neighbor’s dryer vent. Waiting for the worst to happen next, she managed to get the creature out of its enclosure, only to find it was a harmless bunny, covered in dust. A dust bunny, if you will.
The clip in question was posted by the dryer vent’s owner’s daughter, TikTok user kaitdagrate (Kait). The video shows the neighbor dragging the vent as if it were a giant anaconda straight from, well, Anaconda. As the neighbor carefully moved one end of the vent to free the creature, both women screamed in surprise when something suddenly appeared.
It was dust. The women were scared of dust. Upon verifying that there was nothing else on the ground, the neighbor continued her mission. She grabbed each end of the vent at a time, hoping that the mysterious entity would surface, to no avail.
“Where is it?” Kait asked, while nervously laughing. At the same time, the neighbor grabbed the middle of the vent and felt something. She immediately reacted, leaving the vent on the ground, fearing for her life.
The Arizona neighbor repeatedly tried to coax the creature out of its hiding spot, sending clouds of dust onto the ground and turning it gray.
Creature Revealed, Reactions
Eventually, however, the neighbor concocted a technique: she grabbed the vent using both her arms and lifted it above her head. Using this strategy, the creature finally made its appearance. It was not a Lovecraftian horror, but an innocent bunny, covered in the same dust that now painted the walkway.
And despite the bunny’s harmless nature, Kait still screamed. Whether she has a bunny phobia or the shock of the reveal caused the shriek is still unknown.
The video gained millions of views, hundreds of thousands of likes, and thousands of comments in an otherwise discreet account. The star, of course, was the bunny.
“Not the dust bunny,” one user commented. Another one said, “Why is your dryer vent 7 states long?” A third netizen added, “I’m too Australian for this, was expecting a giant snake.”
Hopefully, the woman’s vent will not house any more creatures any time soon. If it does, then we can all expect the same level of horror as displayed in the clip above.
