Sadly, Baldur’s Gate 4 is up in limbo, especially now that Larian Games has officially announced its next project, Divinity 3. Still, that doesn’t mean we’re not getting any turn-based Dungeons and Dragons RPG, because the vacuum left behind by Larian’s Baldur’s Gate 3 is now being seemingly filled by Solasta 2.

Developer Tactical Studios has officially revealed Solasta 2 at The Game Awards 2025, and it has what you usually want in a Dungeons and Dragons RPG: tactical combat and a beautiful cast of characters. Solasta 2 is set to be released on March 12, 2026, but it will only be available in Early Access for now, not quite a full release.

Solasta II - Early Access Date & Cast Reveal

Speaking of the beautiful cast of characters we mentioned, they have the voice actors to back that up as well. Ben Starr is among the most notable members of the cast, and he’ll be voicing Rickard Colwall. You might have heard of Starr from banger RPGs such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Final Fantasy XVI.

In addition to Ben Starr, Solasta 2 also brought in some of the Baldur’s Gate 3 voice actors, such as Amelia Tyler (the narrator) and Devora Wilde (Lae’zel). Aside from notable voice actors from other video games, Ellen Thomas, who voiced Ambessa in Netflix’s Arcane, will also join in. So, as you can imagine, the presentation for Solasta 2 is going to be interesting, more so than the predecessor.

What is Solasta 2 About?

This time around, Solasta 2 thrusts players into the turmoil of a family bound by an unfinished covenant left behind by their late mother, drawing the siblings into an ancient conflict that threatens to tear apart both their world and their own fractured bonds. Players will have to traverse a broken land, forge uneasy alliances, defy the will of the gods, and face impossible decisions where power always carries a cost.

Tactical Adventures promises expanded narrative depth, cinematic presentation, and Tactical Adventures’ refined tactical systems built on the 2024 SRD ruleset. Thus, Solasta 2 doubles down on its tabletop heritage. Again, it’s only going to be on Early Access come March 2026, and it’s not clear when the game’s 1.0 will eventually be released, but it’s certainly an indication of a promising future for the franchise.
