It’s generally a good idea to give drunk people a wide berth. Most of the time, they’re unpredictable, overly confident, and far more confrontational than they would be when sober. Lowered inhibitions tend to bring out behavior that’s uncomfortable at best and aggressive at worst. Unfortunately, that lesson played out in an awkward and messy way for one driver who was simply trying to park her car on a road in Vista, California. The driver had just pulled over and was still sitting in the driver seat when a visibly intoxicated woman approached her vehicle. From the start, it was clear this wasn’t going to be a calm or rational exchange. The drunk woman immediately took issue with where the driver had parked, insisting that the road in Vista was private property. As she stood near the car, swaying slightly, she spoke with the confidence of someone who was absolutely certain she was right, even though she wasn’t.
Sensing that the situation could turn into a problem, the driver decided to pull out her phone and start recording. If someone is already approaching your car with hostility, documenting the interaction is often a smart move. Interestingly, the drunk woman didn’t seem bothered by the camera at all. She openly told the driver to take as many photos or videos as she wanted, as if the presence of a recording device meant nothing to her.
The woman continued insisting that the driver couldn’t park on that road in Vista, repeating herself several times. She then accused the driver of owning a car that leaked oil onto the street, a claim the driver quickly denied. Throughout the exchange, the drunk woman kept shaking her head in an odd, repetitive way, almost like she was trying to clear her thoughts or stay upright. It was one of the more unsettling details of the encounter and made it obvious she wasn’t fully present.
At one point, the woman asked if the driver wanted her to start talking about the neighbor who lived in the house she was parked in front of, hinting at some kind of neighborhood drama. Realizing that the woman was deeply intoxicated and not likely to calm down, the driver decided it wasn’t worth continuing the argument. She began moving her car, even though the insults started flying back and forth between both women as tensions rose.
That wasn’t the end of it, though. Later on, the driver contacted the sheriff’s department to ask about the parking situation. She was told clearly that she had done nothing wrong and that parking on that road in Vista was perfectly legal. Armed with that information and feeling a bit petty after the encounter, the driver returned and parked her car directly in front of the drunk woman’s house. To really drive the point home, the driver leaned on her horn, blaring it loudly.
When the video made its way online, viewers were largely amused. Many internet users found the drunk woman’s behavior hilarious. “She’s hammered. Should’ve called the police and reported her drunk in public,” one user commented. Then, they added, “Never mind, after further review I think it’s actually a Skinwalker.”
Other commenters were more practical, suggesting the driver should have avoided engaging altogether. “I would just roll up my window, not trying to talk to anyone these days,” one person wrote, pointing out that arguing with a drunk stranger rarely ends well.
Some viewers even speculated about what might have been going on with the woman beyond alcohol. While most assumed she was simply drunk, others wondered if medication played a role. “I was thinking Ambien or some other sleepy-time item mixed with wine,” one user said. “That slow blink, lean-back look is awful familiar to me….”
