As technology advances rapidly, some strive to keep pace with the changes. This is why you might find some individuals trying to befriend robots and even help them. Well, that attempt at friendship didn’t end well for a New York woman. While standing with a group, she came face-to-face with a walking robot and requested a handshake. What she got in return was a lot of curses. “Shut your [expletive] [expletive] up,” was the robot’s response and it made sure to yell it too. Of course, the woman was left in disbelief at its response as she looked around her. When she asked the robot “Are you being disrespectful?” it simply made a mocking laughing sound.
Rather than walking away after being disrespected, the New York woman still stood there. She asked who was controlling “this thing” and told the robot, “Maybe I should kick you down.” That would have been one way to respond to its disrespect. The robot, though, kept going as it then started playing Snoop Dogg’s famous part in The Next Episode. What happened next was even more offensive. The robot raised one of its arms and gave the woman the middle-finger. It even made the hand spin around while the middle finger was still up. At this point, the woman couldn’t do anything but walk away in disbelief.
People Reacting to the New York Woman’s Interaction With the Robot
Not a lot of people were impressed with the robot’s rude behavior toward the New York woman. One person mentioned how we got a rude robot before flying cars as they said, “We were promised flying cars, and instead, we got remote-control [expletive].” Another person didn’t want flying cars at all as they emotionally wrote, “My 94 year old dad has been waiting for flying cars for most of his life. He said he’ll die at 100 if they aren’t produced lol Nobody make flying cars please I want my dad to live forever.” Someone else was still impressed by the robot’s middle finger. “Yet the spinning bird was cool,” they wrote. It’s cool when you aren’t on the receiving end.
More people commented on what will happen in the future now that we have rude robots like the one in New York. “Welcome to the future,” one person wrote while another person said, “The future is gonna be something else.” One Redditor also wanted the woman to do something more physical as they said, “Push that [expletive] over, very simple.” Someone else found it weird that anyone would be offended by a robot. “lmao why the [expletive] is she getting offended at a robot,” they wrote. That was when another responded, “id probably be more offended that a robot flipped me off then a human. Who coded you to hate me ?” That’s a good point.
