Bargain hunting isn’t for the faint of heart. Sometimes, instead of finding the perfect item at the perfect price, all you find is drama. However, the internet loves those little moments of payback, theatrics, and chaos. So, it was no surprise that social media ate up one New Hampshire woman’s post-Christmas video where she took her pettiness to a whole new level just to get some revenge on a woman who grabbed a discounted holiday item out from under her nose.
The TikTok video posted by user @sierramigg, starts off with the New Hampshire shopper leisurely looking at the holiday clearance section the day after Christmas. The Home Goods customer is seen holding up a vintage-looking plate with a Christmas tree at the center. She’s already filming a vlog, so she captures all of the drama and emotion in real time.
As she holds up the plate to the camera, she explains that she likes the dinnerware, but doesn’t think she’ll buy it. However, before she gets the chance to full make up her mind, another woman comes in and takes the rest of the dishes off of the shelf, making the choice for her.
“Are we serious right now?” she says with a stunned look on her face. “She literally just stole them from me,” she added.

The woman was so taken aback that she was rendered nearly speechless. She couldn’t believe that another person would swoop in and take something that she was so blatantly considering buying. However, that was nowhere near the end of the story.
Not only did the woman keep the one plate that she had in her hand, but she later found the same plates in a smaller version. So, she quickly scooped them up and put them in her cart. This seemingly didn’t go over well with the other shopper and her mother, who then began to follow the woman around the store to see if she was going to keep the plates, or put them back.
She later overheard the women talking about her to other customers, claiming that she had stolen the plates from them. That’s when things really took a turn.
The New Hampshire bargain hunter filmed all of the chaos, telling the camera that she had no interest in buying the plates. However, she absolutely did not want the other women to have them due to their behavior.
The Pettiness Is Over The Top
She began to weigh her options. Finally, she decided that she would hide the plates so that the women couldn’t purchase them. However, after the two women began to follow her in hopes of getting a peek into her cart, she changed her plan. She returned to the place where she had hidden the dishes and put them back into her cart, deciding to buy them out of spite. She also admitted that she would later return them.
“She’s not going to win. I’m going to win. If you’re gonna play petty with me, and you’re gonna do some [expletive] first, you go low. I’ll go lower,” she says of her behavior.
Meanwhile, TikTok was torn about the New Hampshire plate debacle. Some people were entertained, while others thought it was ridiculous.
“This is so satisfying for my evil heart,” one person joked. “This is such odd behavior from both ends,” said another. “I actually love this level of pettiness,” a third person wrote. “Crazy beef, because YOU originally said thy were cute but you didn’t want them, then someone else likes them, and grabs one off the shelf, now yall are beefing,” a fourth comment read.
It looks like these New Hampshire shoppers are ready to do whatever it takes to prove a point and get a deal in the process.
