Conversation has been swirling around Donald Trump’s alleged Venezuela takeover and the arrest of Nicolás Maduro. While many Americans strongly criticized the move, plenty of others openly celebrated it. Among those seen rejoicing were Venezuelans themselves, along with members of the Cuban community. One woman in Arizona decided to make that reaction impossible to ignore. Frustrated by widespread liberal backlash against Trump’s actions, she filmed a personal moment she believed told a different story. After hearing the news, she recorded herself waking up her Cuban husband to tell him what had happened. His immediate reaction, she felt, said everything she wanted to say to Trump’s critics.

His reaction to Nicolas Maduro 🥹🇨🇺. Cubans everywhere are rejoicing with our Venezuelan friends. Your fight is ours. Your tears are ours. And your joy and hope in the future is ours too. Que viva Venezuela libre!!! #breakingnews #venezuela #nicolasmaduro #vivavenezuelalibre @Joel Sin Censura

In the video, the Arizona woman can be seen waking her husband and telling him that Maduro had been captured. At first, he looked stunned and immediately assumed she was joking. “You’re just messing with me,” he said, clearly in disbelief. When his wife assured him she was serious, he grabbed his phone to check the news for himself. The moment it sank in that the report was real, his disbelief turned into celebration. He pumped his fist in the air, exclaiming, “Let’s celebrate, damn it,” before adding, “Liberty! Thank you, USA.” His wife burst into laughter as she watched him jump up and down in excitement. When she mentioned that Cuba had denounced what happened, he fired back, calling Cuba “the criminal.” Overcome with emotion, he summed it up simply, saying, “It’s an emotional day in so many ways.”

People Reacting to the Arizona Woman’s Clap Back Video

Thousands of people left comments under the Arizona woman’s video. Many believed that her Cuban husband’s reaction was enough evidence that Trump did the right thing. “I wish Americans all had this reaction, instead Trump is the bad guy. Makes me sad,” one person wrote. Another person then said, “you don’t get that reaction unless you have seen suffering. You can never convince me this was wrong.” When someone asked, “Why is Venezuela celebrating then the people are not from Venezuela are angry?” one TikTok user answered, “Because people like to hate trump for every decision.” Several comments also insulted Liberals for disagreeing with what happened. “Yeah it’s the liberals who’s life’s are so miserable because they believe everything trump does is wrong. There so delusional,” one person wrote.

Not everyone believed that the Arizona woman’s husband or any Venezuelans should be celebrating. This is why one person asked, “So, a dictator in exchange for all your oil?” Another person then replied, “Seems fair.” Others expressed their outrage with Trump, such as one comment saying, “You think that’s why he did this?? Be so [expletive] for real‼ He doesn’t care for them there, he doesn’t care for them here, he doesn’t care for us at all‼ More than one thing can be true all at the same damn time.” The majority of comments, however, praised Trump. “YOU DEMOCRATS CAN TRY AND DENY IT ALL YOU WANT! BUT LOOK‼ This is what you can’t stand, Trump getting it done!” someone said. It is definitely a situation that would keep causing a lot of debate.
