The amount of entitlement that some people believe they have is absolutely mind-boggling, and in the States, there surely is no shortage of such arrogant individuals. With all the discriminatory behavior the current administration has been encouraging among its supporters, racism has become a common sight across the country. And one 75-year-old grandma shopping at a Florida Walmart felt it was her duty to defend those carrying out the far right’s xenophobic ways, with a Taser.

75 year old Florida Woman arrested as a result of incident at Walmart self check out where she claimed to be a cop and had her taser out ready to defend an elderly woman in a motorized scooter making racist remarks to another customer

It was an average afternoon at the Davie Walmart in Florida when one elderly woman in a scooter began harassing a random Hispanic shopper. WPLG Local 10 reports that she was saying “making racist and abusive remarks,” things under the lines of how she “did not belong in this country.” Naturally, the argument got a little heated, which is when the 75-year-old stepped in and whipped out her Taser, pointing it at the shopper being harassed. Her reason for intervening? She claimed to be a police officer.

Needless to say, the old granny’s cop cosplay was not very convincing, and the authorities later took her for “intent to commit a felony and impersonating a law enforcement officer.” Fortunately, no one was senselessly hurt, but threatening someone being abused by a racist with a Taser shouldn’t go unpunished, at the very least. “Perhaps she should’ve minded her own business, now she has charges, court dates, & she’ll have to lawyer up. Maga has people delusional,” remarks a commenter.

And of course, Redditors found Florida to be the butt of the joke with news like this. “Just go to a Walmart in Florida if you really want to be disappointed with the human race,” laughs one user. “So overcast used slurs other uses taper to defend them. But but the liberals are violent hateful ones,” sarcastically says another. Seeing a Hispanic woman as potentially dangerous enough to point a Taser at them isn’t surprising, though, as ignorant followers of the current administration are fed quite the propaganda for how they should perceive minorities.
