A woman in Normandy, Missouri, shared a compilation of clips of a mysterious, unidentified man walking past her door for hours during the night. She is now looking to relocate while she fears for her safety.
The woman, whose TikTok username is bipolarbabesclub but whose real name is Summer, shared clips of her doorbell camera. These show a man walking past her camera multiple times through the night, from 7:29 p.m. to 4:24 a.m. of the very next day. This alleged stalking lasted for nine hours.
Summer’s TikTok garnered millions of views, more than 860,000 likes, and close to 4,000 comments. She paired it with Rudyard Kipling’s poem Boots, recently used in a 28 Years Later trailer, to a horrifying result. Users, unsurprisingly, were equally terrified.
“Girl, you need to move to another city,” one user commented. Another one said, “Call the police and make a report,” to which Summer said that she did, but no one came. A third penned, “There is no reason why a man needs to walk past your door continuously throughout the night.”
Updates, Moving Out
In an update, the Missouri woman clarified that the man didn’t live in the building and wasn’t visiting anyone. She had some friends over, but she has since decided to move out of the apartment alongside her dog.
“I still feel uneasy, and my dog has been barking nonstop,” Summer said.
Then, in another update, Summer posted screenshots of a conversation she shared with another person who seemed to have lived there before her. Supposedly, another man had banged on the person’s door searching for the man the Missouri woman had recorded with her doorbell camera.
Summer is currently raising funds to be able to afford moving out of the Normandy apartment. In the fundraiser’s description, she revealed that she is unable to sleep and is constantly on edge due to the constant fear of being stalked by the unidentified man.
“I don’t feel safe leaving or returning to my apartment,” Summer said. “This is not a situation that can wait until my lease ends.”
Hopefully, either Summer moves out soon or the strange man stops stalking her. However, it seems that the latter will not be happening any time soon.
