There are many reasons why people use Uber Eats for grocery services. It’s not only convenient to order online, but you never have to leave your own house. This is perfect for the busiest lifestyles. A Massachusetts woman decided she was going to Uber her groceries to her home when it was snowing this past week. However, she was in for a surprise when the groceries arrived, and it wouldn’t be a good surprise.
Kay (@jakkaymariah) ordered from Uber Eats in Massachusetts, expecting the groceries to arrive at her home in a timely fashion. We’ve all depended on Uber one time or another, right? Well, this delivery was different. In her video, taken from a home security system, you can see the Uber Eats employee approach the home. At this point, you might start to feel a little sad for the driver, who’s wearing her robe and slippers with her legs uncovered in the harsh Massachusetts winter weather.
The Uber Eats employee walks onto the porch, and in her hands is a giant, packed blanket. When she hits the porch, she unravels the blanket, and all the groceries fall out onto the porch. Some of the groceries roll off the porch and into the snow, but the delivery driver does nothing about it. And this isn’t just a tiny order. There are quite a few items there. The woman making the delivery then runs off the porch and back to her vehicle. She just left the items on the porch without grocery bags or anything.
That’s not the worst part, though. Kay discovered that the delivery was made, but it wasn’t even delivered to her house! So, it turns out, she had to go over to someone else’s home and pick up the groceries she ordered off a stranger’s porch. It’s a literal mess.
One commenter stated, “Bruh I was about to say it’s mean to judge people but uhhh…” Another commenter mentioned, “No bc these delivery apps be hiring anyone these days. My deliveries have been getting worse and worse I barely ever use them anymore.” Kay replied, “RIGHT! It’s no longer convenient at all. It’s more stressful than just going to the store.” Worst delivery ever.
