In a very confusing, albeit dramatic turn of events, a neighbor drove their car through a man’s home in Nashville, Tennessee. The man showed the aftermath of the incident, including a destroyed garage and an expensive grill gone for good.
Clips of the destroyed home were shared on TikTok by Connor Ballard, who somehow kept his cool despite seeing what could very well be a natural disaster. He explained that his neighbor, “quite literally,” drove their car through his garage.
The Tennessee man showed his bathroom wall, completely caved in by the impact of the vehicle. On the other side of the wall, in the garage, however, he noted that a brand-new Blackstone grill, possibly valued at more than $1,000, was utterly destroyed.
Finally, Connor showed what remained of his garage door, but chose to, again, keep a positive attitude, saying, “I have a 15-mile-long run tomorrow. So, I’m really gonna try to pace that run really aggressively.”
Many, as one might expect, were left confused by how a crash like that could happen. Some others chose to focus on the Blackstone grill, lamenting its obliteration.
“I looked up what a Blackstone is, And im sorry for your loss,” one user said. Another one commented, “The blackstone was still in the box,” followed by a crying emoji. A third one added, “I’m sure insurance will try to say it’s your fault somehow.”
Dramatic Details Shared
In a follow-up video, the Tennessee man detailed how things went down. As he stepped into the shower, Connor heard “a loud boom” and felt the house shake. Moments later, his wife, Caroline, yelled for him to come down. She was in the living room with her pregnant sister and her mother.
Turns out, Connor’s neighbor had driven their car into Caroline’s vehicle. It was Carolina’s car that went through the garage door and into the wall. Connor checked on his neighbor, who was unharmed.
After filing a police report and having the fire department come to the house to check its state, Connor is now working with the insurance company to have things sorted out. While the material items were costly, the Tennessee man didn’t hold any grudges, calling the whole incident an accident.
