Aggressive Missouri Woman Leaves Strange Voicemail at Wrong Salon: ‘Something Tells Me I’m Siding With a Salon in Springfield’

That sounds really insane

Whenever I’ve experienced bad service, whether at a store or a restaurant, I’ve acted with respect and decency. Realistically, there isn’t any reason to get loud or aggressive with someone in the service or retail industry unless your life depends on it. One woman in Missouri called a salon to really give them a piece of her mind about an experience she had.

However, the salon she called wasn’t the one she meant to contact. It was actually in New Jersey, and the staff there reacted way better than I would have if I got a call like that. Maybe this is a lesson: don’t leave voicemails like that unless you’re absolutely positive it’s going to the right person.

The above video was posted to the TikTok account @whiteopalhairco, a hair salon in New Jersey called White Opal Hair Co. Each video posted on the account typically focuses on the hair salon, whether it’s engaging with customers or giving advice to other stylists. This particular video goes a little bit off script.

It features some of the staff at the New Jersey salon as they listen to a voicemail from a woman who claims to have contacted various organizations to report them for allegations like stalking and harassment. What’s interesting is that before she even goes on this tangent, she manages to fit in that the call was meant for a business in Springfield, Missouri, which is definitely not in New Jersey.

The woman in the voicemail starts off by saying that someone at the salon slandered their name and that she contacted the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General to turn them in. She then says, “I suggest you get your people in line because this behavior will not be tolerated, and we got the receipts.” What’s worse is that she then leaves a second voicemail.

New Jersey Hair Salon Receives Absolutely Wild Voicemail

In the second voicemail, the woman explicitly states she would be calling the Missouri Licensing Board, further confirming she had called the wrong place. At the very end of the video, the staff asks viewers to name-drop the salon because they would not be dealing with that behavior.

Viewers were just as shocked as the White Opal Hair Co staff, but someone in the comments ended up clarifying things a bit, saying, “Google says There is a white opal studio In Springfield MO 🤣.”

Other commenters were more focused on the caller’s tone, with one person saying, “something tells me I’m siding with a salon in Springfield.” Honestly, whatever the woman on the phone was accusing the salon of sounds pretty serious, so I really hope that someone called her back.
