In what has been labeled as the worst date ever, a disgusting man in Florida told his date that he would split the bill unless she went home with him. She refused, of course, and ended up paying herself.
The extremely inappropriate demand was recorded and posted on TikTok by Mel, also known as melodak53. In disbelief, she started recording after the man originally told her about his intentions off-camera. Mel asked the man to repeat himself, and he did.
“I’m saying that, like, are you coming home with me for a little bit? Or are you going home? ‘Cause if not, I’ll probably just gonna end up splitting the check,” the Florida man said.
Shocked, Mel once again gives the man a chance to clarify his stance, asking, “So, I have to pay for my half if I’m not going home with you?” The man argued that it wasn’t fair for him to pay the bill without him “getting anything out of it.”
Worst Date Ever, Reactions
Mel went off on the man, calling him disgusting and asking if that was how he treated other women.
The woman then revealed that the bill was $58, and decided to pay all of it herself, to demonstrate how terrible men who invite people on dates and don’t pay are. Meanwhile, the man called her disrespectful and said that she wasn’t allowed to record him.
The Florida woman clarified she was not recording him. Instead, she was recording the interaction for her safety, pointing out that people around her were laughing at them while witnessing the scene.
In TikTok’s description, Mel called it “the worst date of my life,” adding that no man had treated her like he did, like “a piece of meat.” Many others were equally outraged by the situation, with thousands commenting on how terrible the man was.
“That’s coercion, and coercion is a form of assault!” one user said. Another commented, “Someone has been watching too much Andrew Tate.” A third added, “I love you so much for just blatantly calling him out and making a scene. He deserved all of that and more.”
