Three influencer sisters, who have millions of followers, decided to try stand-up at an open mic at a comedy club in Los Angeles, California. The club’s host, however, was extremely rude to them for no reason, leaving them no choice but to leave.
The three women are the Kalogeras Sisters, who shared their experience in a YouTube vlog. These Canadian influencers traveled to California to gain experience doing stand-up in a controlled, non-hostile environment. The spot? The Hollywood Comedy in Los Angeles.
Each sister took to the stage to deliver their routine, telling jokes to the amusement of the audience. The club was almost empty, meaning that the Kalogeras Sisters were basically performing their stand-up to each other. This, of course, meant it was a harmless experience.
However, as soon as the last sister left the stage, a man who appeared to be the California comedy club host or manager grabbed the microphone and began a rude rant against the sisters.
“Are y’all bouncing?” the man asked. One of the sisters said they were, but praised the man’s set, as he had previously performed. For some reason, the man took offense to that and said, “You’re in a position to talk a lot of [expletive].”
One of the women asked, “I’m sorry?” and the man repeated himself. He then added, “You think that went remotely as good as you think it went?“
Triggered Man, Reactions
Apparently, the California host got triggered after he thought the women were talking about themselves. They had actually praised his set, yet he continued his rant.
“I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not,” the host said, even calling out Noah, who was with the Kalogeras sisters, telling him that he was mad at the one-liners that he did when he also performed.
The rude man refused to stop. He asked, “What was the reason for getting up on stage today?” The Kalogeras sisters told him they were “making a video,” and he clapped back, “That’s it? You don’t have any intention on doing it again?“
“We’ll see,” one of them said. As they were leaving the comedy club, someone, possibly the host, said, “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
Just as the sisters were, many were left shocked by the California host’s sudden outburst. Some labeled him an insecure, frail man. The Hollywood Comedy was even review-bombed by the Kalogeras Sisters’ followers, but the club has deleted the bad reviews.
“He was trying to defend his masculinity,” one user said. Another one commented, “Seen a better atmosphere in a morgue than in that comedy club.” A third one added, “They are insecure comics who probably go there all the time and will never go anywhere else.”
