There’s nothing worse than a Karen making their presence known to an entire store full of customers. But perhaps even worse than that is when it’s nearly closing time. In Florida, a Karen decided to wander into a Wawa close to midnight, unhappy with her order. She stood firm in her position that her order was wrong and demanded to know the corporate’s number. One hero stepped in to save the day and bring peace to the harassed employees.
TikToker @tropical.snowflake posted a video showing an interaction he witnessed between a Karen and an employee at a Florida Wawa. The employee asks her how he can help her and she loudly says, “The ISSUE with your CONDESCENDING TONE, unprofessional…” As she’s saying this, she opens up her box of food (perhaps donuts or pastries) to show to the employee. Instead of telling him what the problem is, she tries to school him on proper employee etiquette and how to approach her in a more professional manner. Keep in mind, this employee has done absolutely nothing wrong at this point. In fact, he’s truly keeping his cool amidst the chaos.
When he tells her that he tried to approach her and ask how she was doing, she sighs loudly and says, “Oh, my God.” He tells her she’s making the situation “more difficult” by saying he’s acting a certain way when he’s not. When he asks her once again what he can assist her with, she stares him down and goes to open up her box again but then stops. She tells him, “I’m not being rude to you.”
At this point, @tropical.snowflake decides to step in and stand up to the Karen so the employee doesn’t have to deal with her. He’s had enough. When he tries to confront her and tells her to stop mistreating the employee, she interrupts him. Over and over again, she holds up her hand and says, “This is not your conversation. Stay out of it.” The TikToker tells her it’s “midnight” and she’s here “beating these people up.” But there’s no way for him to get through to her. She’s on a Karen rampage and she won’t stop.
One commenter stated, “Walking in there like she spent caviar money! Glad you stepped up for him!” Another commenter suggested, “Kick people out at first sign of disrespect.” It’s clear that she just wanted to unleash her rage on the unsuspecting employees.
