The death of Charlie Kirk has been one of the biggest incidents of 2025. Though months have passed, not everyone has forgotten about it yet, and the discussion surrounding it continues to resurface online. Recently, conservative political commentator Candace Owens shared a shocking audio recording starring Erika Kirk, the wife of Charlie Kirk, which immediately drew widespread attention. The video began with Candace sharing her doubts and suspicions about Erika Kirk potentially taking over TPUSA. She then shared the audio files she claimed to have found involving Erika Kirk, which were recorded eleven days after Charlie Kirk’s death. In the audio, Erika Kirk was talking about the memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Despite only a little over a week having passed since her husband’s passing, the woman began the meeting with a rather cheerful voice, saying how much she liked Zoom emojis and how engaging she found the call format. She then talked about how amazing the Arizona memorial was, calling it “the event of the century.” As she continued, she began rattling off numbers, including how many people attended and even the number of merchandise items they managed to sell during the memorial at Arizona.
She then thanked the team for helping her host the Charlie Kirk memorial in Arizona, praising their coordination, effort, and ability to pull off such a large event on short notice. When the audio ended, Candace remarked on how at ease and unbothered Erika Kirk seemed about her husband’s death, to the point that she appeared excited about the number of sales generated at the Arizona memorial. Candace pointed out how unusual it sounded that someone could speak so enthusiastically about the Arizona memorial and its numbers while still being so close to the loss itself.
There was also another audio recording in which Erika Kirk suggested that any staff members who were still deeply affected by Charlie Kirk’s death should speak to counselors provided by TPUSA. Yet at the end of that same recording, she again spoke about how excited she was about how much they still needed to do next, and how many plans were already moving forward after the Arizona memorial. Candace found it notable how even after trying to be understanding and emotional, Erika Kirk still seemed firmly stuck in business mode.
The majority of internet users were also focused on how Erika Kirk appeared fixated on the amount of sales and the numbers generated by the Arizona memorial. “It’s so utterly gross. The party of family values…” one user said. Another wrote,“I can’t get past her calling her husband’s memorial ‘an event.’”
Others were more shocked by how Candace even managed to obtain this conversation after the Arizona memorial. “She’s deep with a lot of the TPUSA hierarchy. Lots of people within the organization, like any organization, presumably don’t like the Kirks for myriad reasons. Someone sent that to Candace knowing full well the damage it could do,” one user said.
Some users expressed concern about the children, which Erika Kirk seemed not to bring up at all, focusing instead almost entirely on the Arizona memorial and its logistics. “Yeah, I find it wild that instead of everyone around her jumping in to say, ‘We’ve got this, be with your family, be with your kids,’ she leaned in even harder and is spearheading things like reporting on merchandise sales,” one commenter wrote.
