Calls to Boycott Pro-ICE Cat Groomer in Washington Following Public Wild Posts: ‘I Hope a Cat Bites Him’

Not so good for business

Some businesses choose to make their political views public. While that is a personal decision, it often comes with consequences. A cat groomer in Washington appears to be learning that lesson after his political opinions began circulating online.

The groomer has been described by critics as “openly racist” and “bigoted,” with his pro-ICE stance further fueling backlash. One post shared four screenshots of his public social media activity, which many readers found alarming. The screenshots quickly spread, prompting calls for a boycott of his business.

The fallout was immediate. Some customers began asking for recommendations for alternative cat groomers, making it clear they no longer felt comfortable supporting him. Based on the reactions online, the posts shared in the exposé did little to help his case, and instead intensified the criticism.

The first screenshot showed the Washington cat groomer talking about how customers should keep their tags on their carriers. He said if they didn’t, he would forget their names. At first, the post seemed fairly benign. Things took a darker turn toward the end, where he wrote “I’ve figured out why it happens with Asians, lesbians, and some men who vote Democrat but I can’t for the life of me figure out why the rest of you forget your name.” The second screenshot displayed two of his Facebook posts. In one he wrote “The only thing dumber than a democrat is a feminist.” The other was an image with text insulting Tim Walz and containing a transphobic claim. In that one, he said he only realized Walz was the “[R‑word]” after finding out Walz had put tampons in boys’ bathrooms.

In another post, he shared a video with the caption “White liberal woman attacks and FAFO.” His comment under it read “First video that showed up in my feed today” followed by heart emojis. The final screenshot showed a post he made after the murder of Renee Good by an ICE agent. In that one he advised his Democrat friends not to antagonize the police.

He went on to claim that being compliant and polite saved him from going to jail three times. If that’s accurate, it doesn’t reflect well on law enforcement to suggest someone avoided jail because of courtesy alone. At the end of that post he wrote “Remember, you don’t have to be a white male to have white male privilege. You just have to conduct yourself like one.”

People Reacting to the Washington Cat Groomer’s Posts

A lot of Washington citizens were upset after seeing the posta shared by the cat groomer. This is why he received a lot of backlash. One person even said, “I hope a cat bites him in an important synovial joint.” Another person commented on how insane the posts were. “Whew buddy! Each post got worse every time I swiped. That post talking about behaving like a white male is WILD,” they wrote. Someone else commented, “It’s wild for him to acknowledge white male privilege in general with everything else about him. I’d think that he would be part of the group that thinks while male privilege is a myth and racism actually never existed / was somehow good for those who were oppressed. It’s also wild to say that he should have been jailed and had his car towed 3 times but the cops just let him go without issue.”

More people criticized the Washington groomer, with one commenter highlighting the type of clientele his attitude might attract. “He’s just trying to corner the market of… checks notes… Trump loving, immigrant hating, racist, misogynist tough guys who really need top notch grooming for… their cats. In Seattle,” they wrote. His political posts did drive some customers away. One person shared, “I stopped going to him last year when he posted ‘You can’t silence us all. I am Charlie Kirk’ over a homemade (or more likely AI made) cat graphic, on his business page. Been making the trek to Kitty City grooming in Tacoma now and she’s been a million times better with my cat, and without the racism! So glad I never looked back.” In short, he lost clients simply because of what he posted online.
