The Super Bowl has long been the largest stage in United States culture since its inception, bringing forward some of the greatest players in football history and the most talented musicians of all time. This year, things have been frayed a bit with the announcement of Bad Bunny as the halftime show artist. One Texas woman realized just how badly MAGA supporters felt about this decision firsthand when an uninvited guest came to her Super Bowl party and started causing problems.
What’s even worse is that he didn’t just start an issue with the people inside the home; he also ate a lot of the food that was prepared specifically for the event. So, that means he had no problem both eating all the Puerto Rican food while allegedly showing his colors about how he felt.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account @teresakayenewman, which is run by a woman named Teresa, who is the owner of Newman Music Academy in Texas. When she isn’t talking about music, she is also bringing her opinion on the varying points of contention going on in the United States. In this particular video, she shares how one person ruined her Super Bowl party because he just couldn’t part with his own personal opinions.
While the performance was going on, this guest had allegedly continued to talk over the show and ask other guests if they could even understand what Bad Bunny was saying. What the uninvited guest likely did not know is that Teresa also identifies with Puerto Rican culture, and this particular performance was special to her.
Eventually, the guest left, but that didn’t stop Teresa from feeling targeted in her very own home. She talks about how the experience was something she hadn’t really been presented with before, even as a lighter-skinned Latina. She recalls being bullied as a child for it, but had never experienced anything as traumatic as someone going into her house uninvited and doing that.
Texas MAGA Supporter Ruins Super Bowl Party
Commenters jumped into the replies to give their opinions on the situation, with many agreeing that the man was likely not there because he wanted to have a good time. One person even targeted the person who likely brought the man, saying, “The person who brought him, owes you an apology.”
Similarly, another person said, “whoever brought him….knew…and is not your friend.” Teresa’s account of the situation is very much in line with this thought process, with many people agreeing, and another highly-liked comment saying, “a friend who brings an enemy…is no friend. They backdoored.”
Hopefully, Teresa never has to deal with this specific person again, and I hope that they somehow see the video online and immediately recognize that she is talking about them.
