A Connecticut UPS driver went viral after a TikToker, Hindy Jaffee, recorded him running from turkeys. Two random turkeys have it out for the driver as they had no interest in leaving him alone, even chasing him when he makes a delivery. The video shows the driver running for his life in a mad dash to make a delivery and return to his truck in comical fashion.
The video begins with the Connecticut driver attempting to lure the turkeys to the other side of the truck. He repeatedly tells them to “come here” and works to catch their attention. The man fusses at an unseen observer: “I’m glad you got a good laugh.” He says one of the turkeys “flew at [him]” and that they’ve been chasing him. The driver tells the observer to “come over here and get one of them.” During the exchange, the turkeys seem unbothered.
After distracting the turkeys, the man dashes to the house, tosses the package, and runs back. The Connecticut driver hollers, “Now I gotta get back,” as he races to his truck. He makes it just in time before the turkeys return. He laughs in triumph as he tells them, “You better back up!” The turkeys simply gobble. Clearly frustrated, the driver yells, “I’m forty years old, I can’t deal with this!” The man’s troubles are not over as he has “one more” package to deliver. He makes another dash out of the truck. This time, the turkeys give chase.
Everyone Cheers On Connecticut Driver
People are loving the Connecticut driver’s antics, with one comment suggesting, “This guy deserves a raise.” One commenter gives some insight into the driver, “This is my cousin’s husband, he’s always a character.” Another recommends, “Hey, UPS, your guy deserves hazard pay for the hostile work environment.” People especially love the extended ending, in which the turkeys follow him to the next house. He fakes them out, yells “dueces,” and books it back to his truck.
The video has received a lot of attention online, even making it to the local news, which Hindy Jaffee discusses in a post. A Reddit thread that absolutely enjoyed the chaos of it shares, “I could watch this on repeat all day.” Many sympathize with his fear, with one saying, “There comes a point where those turkeys are getting curb-stomped.” Another points out, “Turkeys are like the closest living relatives to velociraptors.” Another agrees, “It’s [a] new Jurassic Park remake.”
Others agree, “I’ve watched this like 20xs and his joy should be a pandemic.” A second comment says, “I feel for the guy, but, damn, that was hilarious!” Many enjoy his “manical laughter” while others applaud his devotion to delivering packages. One calls him a “legend,” while another hopes the video reaches him so he can “know how many people were cheering him on while watching.”
